The judge asked how much I earned a fortnight and then spat out $800 as the fine. I can tell you that I am sure I don't earn more than Steven May 🤣

Years ago back when I was a Detective, I was driving an unmarked police car around whilst fine suspended. It happens, move on.

Demeritted Disguised Detective

Say that 5 times quickly!

I was actually driving Maysy’s car that day, so it was me who got the last 3 points. Apologies everyone. Nothing to see here. Will call Vic Roads in the morning and clear this all up.

As have I. Twice. On both occasions I wasn’t informed I had amassed the maximum demerit points, only to find out when pulled over.

I am sorry to break this to you, but as a result, you will not be permitted to play full back for the Demons this weekend.

Touch your phone twice in QLD under the multitude of giant camera towers and there’s your licence gone.

These days your iPhone stores all your numbers, I wonder if you’d get smacked about with this instead

Well here's an untold Uncle Bitter story,

In the early 70's myself and my mate got [censored] as nits at the Croxton Park Hotel. My beautiful 16 year old girlfriend (later to be my beautiful wife, now my late wife) drove us, unlicensed,  to Mernda.

We weren't worried, in those days, we knew the coppers would have accepted that it was the best option.

Different times.

PS. My wife and I laughed about that for years. Sadly not enough years.

i heard Gus ran a red light too

who gives AF?!

Please don't impose a club suspension again.

No they won't.

What it does bring is unwanted attention and negativity towards the club. Journo's will blow this up bigger then it should.

Edited by dazzledavey36

All the commentators in their coats and club ties are free to drink martinis while Stephen May drives. I didn't do it he says then he goes online. That's too many demerits for this dee boy to hide." (Apologies Bob Dylan).

Yep and Petracca was caught jaywalking! Will we be able to field a team this week??

If it's a points issue, it's possibly [censored] poor communication or, at worst, carelessness - I've done the same.

Vic Roads or whatever they are called are borderline incompetents.

There you go, I've edited that for you.

The bad news gets worse.  Much worse in fact.

Rumour has it that Bayley Fritsch has a library book that is TWO DAYS overdue.

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturday’s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFL’s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
