Did you see Rons eyes light up when he came up the stairs and saw the shining cup. Wonderful stuff.

It seems that Ron and his association with the cup has come full circle.

And he carries the spirits of all his past team mates that have passed away over the years.

A great moment.

Hope the families of those we have lost too early in last 20 years have opportunity to hold the cup in  a quiet situation.

He is look good for a 85 year old, when older people watch games of clubs they support they tend to ride every bump, handball and kick.

When the team wins the premiership a tear comes in our eyes because we are relieved that they have achieved the holy grail and we are there to witness it even if it is only on TV or a replay.

Unfortunately my father and cousin did not live long enough to see the mighty "D" raise the cup again.

Damn, couldn't see the picture of the naked lady on his wall again

LEGEND !!   what a true legend of our game and our club

🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

Ronald Dale Barassi meets an old friend.

Brilliant

I hope that perhaps Ron, and ND can be the official flag raisers when we unfurl the  our 2021 Premiership flag.

Magnificent. I was hoping the Cup would visit RDB

I also want Noel Mc Mahon and Nathan Jones there.

Love that he invited the team to go back to back knowing how talented they are - he of all people would know what it takes! Suggestions that it should be called the Barassi Premiership Cup I support!

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
