Guess his mum flip flops too?

I'd doubt that a mother would seriously interrupt a son's career forcing change that is not fully necessary. He has an almost unlimited series of short and longer-term advantages staying with the Dees that can be measured by his inputs and potentials to date. My own thoughts are that Dogga will stay at the Dees, long-term. This is a shrinking world; distances are more than halved and for movement across the country, circumstances have never been better. He could have a weekly, monthly or extended visit 'home' and 'return' provided in his contract, if necessary, orย  some other arrangement, and still reach the heights of Demon participation and potential, meeting family needs and footballing career continuity. His independence as a younger man making his way in the world are also supported.ย

LJ may want to go home, but he also doesnโ€™t want to โ€œleaveโ€ The MFC. he loves the place.ย
i donโ€™t think he has signed anything yet, but that is a gut feel only.ย
I disagree with what GNF said vehemently. The Family have no problem with the MFC.ย
At this stage i just hope LJ has a phenomenal Finals Seriesโ€ฆ..

She slips, she slops, she flips and she flops.

No, just does not want him to play for WC.

What is he 10 years old, if what you say about his Mum then the further away he is the better, I don't believe one word of your trash.

Gee I hope the media whispers are correct. ย It would be a huge fillip for our team if the big โ€˜Spanielโ€™ announced an extension ย during the finals series.

Gary Lyon on sen without mentioning sources said there might be a shift in the move to WA ... hopefully true but possibly managers leaking and trying to extract more from Freo and Eagles ... wouldn't be the 1st time

Didn't come from a manager, reckon it came from the former players group chat via a former captain turned beer baron...

Indeed oldfart perfect scenario in my view

When Jackson resigns for two year do we get a refund on all our posts.ย

Luke is just waiting for this thread to get to 200 pages.ย

How do you refund time lost reading the speculations?

If it is true that he might stay, it would be purely on the basis that Freo don't have the necessary trade capital to meet our requirements (yet). If Jackson is adamant that he doesn't want to go to West Coast, than he may have discussed staying with us with both clubs and his manager to give Freo enough time to get the necessary capital for a trade in the future.

That said, I still think he'll be traded this year and have resigned to the fact. I'm also looking forward to seeing what we receive in return as it may prolong our time at the top of the AFL.

Hope the club announces he's extending his contract during the week off we'll have before the prelim!

What a [censored] week it could be for Freoโ€ฆ lost their top 4 spot thanks to one almighty Carlton chokeโ€ฆ their champion pings a hammy and wonโ€™t play in the elimโ€ฆ LJ says no dice and signs onโ€ฆ they will likely be bundled out of the finals in 3 daysโ€ฆ

She can big note herself all she likes if the board remains stable and club continues to be successful.ย

This thread is getting to be like the game day thread! As I see it, itโ€™s 3/4 time and weโ€™re 10 points down. Some think itโ€™s already over but Binman thinks our loading will see us through (ie jacko stays) In the game itself, ย  his mum is apparantly ย starring at CHB for the opposition โ€ฆ maybe cause in our panic we just keep dumping it long and high into the pocket ? Plus the pokรฉmon cards are also having a field day at half forward. But thereโ€™s Still a qtr to go โ€ฆ. I think with a few changes the dees can still pull it off!!ย

She can big note herself for all I care the moment she gets us a home base.

Right now, many are very impatient.

This comment reminds me of the rigmarole around here with respect to Jesse Hogan leaving and then subsequently signing a 2 year contract extension at the dees (2016?). The posts where then updated to along the lines of "Hogan's going.....in 730 days"ย ย

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
