Number 1 is a casual 7 years passed his best.

Number 2 won’t be there for the first 5-6 weeks of 2022 if there’s any justice.

Number 3 only shows up when he wants, and if there’s not a stray teenager on offer.

So yeah, not a great list.

My top 10 most watchable:

1. Kozzy Pickett - magic happens!

2. Isaac Heeney - if he's injury free he'll be nearly the best player in the comp.

3. Liam Ryan - pace, leap, execution!

4. Charlie Cameron - the next Betts.

5. Harry McKay - reckon he's in for a 70 plus season.

6. Christian Petracca - who wouldn't want to see more of Norm?

7. Dustin Martin - legend of the game.

8. Shai Bolton - always exciting. Can mess it up but won't die wondering.

9. Toby Greene - mainly just enjoy watching him self-destruct.

10. Scott Pendlebury - my favourite non-demon

Yuck De Goey before Trac. SEN it’s time to move Dwayne on I think.

Toby Greene at 2:-  give it a spell. Stole Fritzal’s AA spot.

I'm not going to go all out in defence of Dwayne but the list is meant to be something other than just a best players list.

All three of your descriptions are almost definitions of why they're on the list.

The first might not play too many more games (so see him while you can). The second might flip out and kick an umpire in the face and the last one is a real piece of work that might have 25 disposals and kick 5 or he could decide he couldn't be bothered and walk around the field sulking.

They're kind of the definition of box office. If Stephen Milne still played, he'd be a shoe in.

That list has all the hallmarks of a Hutchy employee in footy offseason trying to generate some outrage and controversy to get someone to call in. Petracca at eight seriously.

Derwaynne - I would watch Kozzie, Tracy, Clarrie, Max and Jacko before most of those.   (Maybe I am a bit biased) 🙄

My list (excluding Melb players due to bias:- koz, Trac, Oliver, Jacko, Gawn, Fritsch, Salem would all feature)

1.  Bont              (Class & match winner)

2.  Liam Ryan    (Excitement, weekly hangers)

3.  Dusty             (Don’t argue)

4.  Nic Nat          (Freakish ruck-taps)

5.  Josh Kelly      (Skill + ability to hit a target)

6.  Buddy       (The strut, and bombs from 60m)

7.  C. Cameron   (Speed, stupid celebrations)

8.  Robbie Gray    (Class/skill/match-winner)

9.   Danger       (Explosiveness)

10. Greene      (Mad, head explosions)

I get the "Box Office Buddy" thing as all eyes will be on him until he's kicked the 1000.

But Sam Walsh ? Box Office ? Fantastic young player, amazing work rate. Gets to contest after contest. But he's about as exciting as a cardboard box !

If one likes watching a player get fatter as each season passes then De Goey is your man. Greene is outrage porn.

Robbie Gray has been one of my favourite non Melbourne players to watch for a while now but I think he's done & I can't think of anyone who would get me through the gate.

I agree on Gray.

It's funny you should say you can't think of anyone, other than a dees player, who would get me through the gate, so to speak.

Box office in sen speak.

None readily comes to mind either.

Perhaps Toby Greene, who leaving aside being a prize fool, is an out an out star. Plays like a kpd and has the skills of small.

The giants have let him down though. Tbey should have refused to go in to bat for him with the umpire charge.

(And of course he has let them down a million times)

Apparently being voted the best player in a GF and producing on the biggest stage of all isn't very watchable these days 😥.

I heard about 3 minutes of this and turned it off.
it just made no sense

Luke Jackson, Clarry and Tracc have just ripped the game apart and hardly got a mention.
it was a ridiculous segment

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’
