Along with ‘just.. like ..that’ after Max’s goal to seal the minor premiership

The entire game three times, but “bang! bang! bang!” I must’ve watched at least 50.

I’m not sure it’s physically possible for a Demons fans to not smile ear to ear after Clarry smashes through the third goal and points to the crowd. Not to mention Dogga’s assist after his clean pick up running out of the centre, and then his reaction to the goal afterwards. It’s a thing of beauty.

The Trac dribbler/Kozi shepherd, the Sparrow roost and the Clarry full stop. That minute of football is now part of Demon folklore.

Now four times - three on purpose and one surprise and delight today when we decided to go to the Coolum SLSC for lunch and guess what was on the Tele ❤️💙

West Coat thunder-lightning game on Fox Footy and Kayo now. Geelong comeback game after. Great afternoon of viewing on a wet day. Just to break up the GF on a continuous loop

Watched the replay 4 times but I have to stop watching it late in the evening, I get so revved up I can't sleep.

The snippets, I've watched them heaps of times.

Sleeping tablet tonight, i'm exhausted. 🥱😴

I haven't seen a more dominant performance in a Grand Final before, that's between two AFL sides, I don't count GWS.

It's on rotation on Fox and I'm watching the Geelong slaughter at the moment.

Earlier today after watching the 4 mini kayo's of

Rnd 23 v Geelong - QF v Brisbane - PF v Geelong and GF v Footscray  and recognizing I've probably gorged on the equivalent of 24 hours of football content from a range of sources over the last week.

It did make me wonder about how our contemporaries in 1964 got to gorge on the last GF? Read the papers cover to cover? Or did they all just move along quickly then?

Not enough. Never watched second quarter but know time when to start replay in middle of 3Q on IQ4.

Four minute online highlights package of 3Q 7 goals on rotation on my computer.

Has there ever been a better half of a quarter than 7 goals ending with Bang! Bang bang bang?

NO. Not ever.

GO GOODY GO DEES

Currently watching as we talk. Probably watched it around 15-18 times with numerous sneaky 3rd & 4th qtrs. Best commentary by far, in my opinion, is Dennis Commetti's on W.A.'s MMM.

I've now taken to watching 360 and on the Couch leading up to the GF. Highly enjoyable.

The post GF versions of these shows were a little disappointing as they concentrated on celebrations (understandable) rather than analysis.

The Perth MMM commentary with Dennis Commetti remains my favourite video soundtrack

That GF surpasses the 1970 Carlton benchmark IMO. After all, that game was only in black and white.

I have watch the last bit of the 3rd quarter from the time the ball is out of bounds with Brown and Williams contesting the ball with various commentaries at least 20 times and will never tire of the feeling of joy that I get seeing the Bulldogs supporter and players hang dog look which I guess matches the face of the Bulldog mascot.

Going to watch the GF for the 4th time this coming weekend.

Only watched the prelim once in full.

Poor numbers I know.

And yet I've watched the Freo, St Kilda, Richmond, Geelong (first time) Sydney wins at least 7 or 8 times.

Bang, bang, bang, bang.

SEN Commentary  (on you tube) Anthony Hudsons call of  Blitzkrieg #2  is epic. Ending with a catchy "Oliveeeeeeerrrrr.... It's a procession of possession and goals"

I've watched a full replay twice but i've watched an untold amount of segments/snippets. The late blast in the 3rd quarter is pretty much imprinted on my brain i've seen it so often.

I doubt i'll watch the full replay again for a while. Perhaps when my son is old enough to watch in full with me

My focus is on the new season and the many victories that lie ahead. I can't wait

Ha we had some friends drop over for dinner last night and after too many beers and wine I sat up watching the second half again… I woke just eerily happy and couldn’t remember why until seeing this thread. How good is FOOTY!!!

Get a hearse for the curse..

I will swear on a stack of Bibles I have watched the last half more than 60 times... And guess what !!! WE win each time by 74 points....        On an Umpiring note...  When Viney and later Spargo were pinged in the third Quarter @ the 7:26 min mark of the third ( for Viney) for a high tackle I just felt that the Bulldogs player ran into Viney and that was an unfair decision....

Just finished watching the GF and Preliminary Final with SEN Radio Commentary

Whately, Hudson, Healy and Jordan Lewis

So much better than Brayshaw and BT yelling at me

Too many to count. I think I lost track around 10, but if I had to guess I would say it's around 4 times that now. I also spent an afternoon watching people from around the world reacting to the highlights on YouTube. One in particular stands out, an American who new the final score line and paused the video when Bont put them up by 19 and was completely flabbergasted about how we could pull it off.

I have only rewatched the last quarter of the prelim once but I've watched the first three quarters a handful of times, and am craving a rematch of it again. I haven't listened to the radio calls of it though. Did you find those on YouTube?

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
