Well done to Wines. He had a good year and always fights hard for the footy.

The voting was a bit stuffed tonight as always. The umpires can’t seem to get any decisions right it seems!

Geeze bont has cracked the sads.

Unpopular opinion but I don't think the votes in the crows game were too far off the mark. Seedsman really was a clear best on ground, and most of Fritch's goals came in junk time. Oliver got 28 touches but only went at 53% disposal efficiency.

Wines a great year but there's really no competetion for him other than Boak. Puts up big stats but not as impactful as Bont or Oliver for mine.

Good win to Wines.

I'm a bit bothered by Adelaide getting the 2 and 3 in a 40 point loss to us, but Oliver wouldn't have caught Wines even with those votes.

Fritsch kicked a bag in junk time. Not worth more than 1 vote

And yet the coaches have him a perfect 10. But what would they know…..

28. 2 behinds.
Not his best.
I’m just confused how a man that kicks 7 goals gets less votes when his team wins by 41 points than two players on a losing side.
The mind boggles.

Yeah, it was a weird set of votes overall since we were the easy winners.   But a GF win is more important that any Brownlow. Really good results for the club overall in the voting though.  But gap between Bont and the rest of his teammates though.

If we took wines we probably don't take Clayton. I know who I prefer

Different recruiters and I can promise you Taylor would have taken Clarry. We are trying to get Cerra atm when we have a good midfield. You always take the best and Taylor thought at pick 4 Clarry was the best.

I’m sure Clarry would rather a premiership medal than a Brownlow. The most overrated medal in the game.

Congratulations Ollie Wines, great season.

A friend messaged me to say “Wines wins Brownlow and you got Toumpas”

Pretty easy to guess what I said next.

Surely we’re right up there for the team vote

If anything Clayton was robbed by the lightning strike the week before the Adelaide game. We were coasting ahead when it happened and I don’t think any of our players did well after the return to play. If not for the break, a fit player like Clarrie could have gone on to well over 30 possessions - as it was he finished on 28.

Wines can have his brownlow he won't have a premiers medal. C'mon Dees let's win the big one.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
