Would you be inspired to make a cash donation? If so, what sort of amount? Buy extra memberships? Upgrade current memberships? Grand final guarantee?

Me, i would go absolutely NUTS on commemorative merchandise. The drunker i got the more i would spend. Perhaps even a tatt to celebrate.

How far would you go after a flag?

I'd buy a bluray or digital download of every win this season.

I don’t want to think about it too much but I know my wife would be taking my cards off me after a few hours when the bank calls to say everything is maxed out 😂

I would probably thanks them on finally fulfilling what so many promised, but failed over my 40 years on this earth.

Firstly I desperately hope that we will be in a position to be able to celebrate the win and then find a suitable Tatt. It is just to good to image.!!

Which of course doesn't answer the question and offers nothing for the club.

Club is bigger than the individual. However I like many have given the best part of sixty years of support. Not so much recently but cheered on and stayed positive on  many cold and dark days through the seventies.

I would make them promise to play in the grand final at the MCG the following year ( if possible ) so that we can go and see them. That is how far my MFCSS runs.

Nothing. The MFC and I will be even after the 2nd flag. Maybe I'll do something for the 3rd

But it’s still funny af. 😆

It’s also now immortalised in print. So no takesies backsies for you!

Probably complain about Viney’s disposal efficiency…

then weep openly in the street, in the rain.

I’m already over $600 deep in a membership that meant i sat in my reserved seat once this year, and wont get to any finals.  I have no income in lockdown and wonder more about getting through than what i can give to the footy club.

Just sit there in shock thinking oh my god I have actually seen one. Id buy the dvd and re watch it with the different radio commentary teams, I'd buy memorabilia and just be so happy.

I have seen 4 storm premierships and have premiership dvds and framed premiership photos on my wall. I'd love a melbourne demons one.

My new bar and gym will become a shrine to the Melbourne Football Club.

Other than that, probably nothing because the bastards owe us one for decades of unrewarded support.

Impossible to contemplate at the moment, and I won’t be in a position to contemplate when it happens!

Typo

The moment I know we’ve made it to the big dance I would drag out the huge box of red and blue streamers, ribbons and balloons, MFC flags etc. that I gathered in 2018 when I thought we’d play in the grannie and I was gonna decorate my house.

I decorated my house in 2000. I mean, DECORATED my house. It looked awesome. What a sad sight I must’ve been, as soon as it was dark, pulling it all down, all the while crying. ☹️
Oh, and I’d defs get a tattoo. My son has already promised to pay for it (he bought me a tattoo last year for Mother’s Day) and I was supposed to have had one already this year but covid put the kibosh on that.

Help pay your fine

Several years ago I moved to a place with a flag pole. I couldn't believe it and bought myself a Demon flag. Just waiting to hoist it!

..... ok, I might have had a little practice run... but if/when we win, it's going up staying there until it falls off

Nothing extra I have given for 57 years including a number of save our skins fin raising .

Bawl my eyes out for hours, rehydrate, and then go again!

At least when Dictator Dan locks us down.constantly we don't need to worry about having no home base and where we would go to celebrate after a premiership.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
