We are being umpired out of the top 4. Last week, and again tonight. HQ want Port and Brisbane top 4 and we are the unlucky ones.

You could argue we’re kicking ourselves out of the top 4… 13.20 in the last 6 quarters of football. Flip that around and we win last week and are 50/50 tonight.

the dogs running and overlap game is killing our standard fence them in along the boundary line. our players are not chasing, this is no different from what collingwood and hawthorn did to us.  we are fine while we control the narrative but when they run the ball out of defense especially after a point we have no players there. there is no manning up any more we let them take the easy kick out and then overlap to run  it down the ground. I dont see much future with this team if they cannot adapt to this style of play.

Seriously if BBB doesn’t kick a match winning bag in the second half he needs to be dropped.  Paid the big bucks and hasn’t looked remotely like kicking either of those set shots.

Agree. He’s got three chances. Dropped a sitter. He’s as bad as Weideman. Runs around. Needs to kick three or four in the second half.  Two bad misses. 25 metres out.  Slight angles. Two misses were killers. ?? Got to show something NOW

At the moment, I’m looking to see if Mitch Brown is still injured. Really that’s how disappointing Weid and Bbb are so far.

When it this stuff gonna be addressed?

I think our set shots need to be addressed even more desperately. They've been costing us for a number of weeks now.

Yep have been a BB fan but gees he has been very very ordinary

Guys the umps are poor but they favour the dogs every week. Nothing different for us.

we are losing as we have around 8 passengers

and we can’t kick straight

I was wrong I said umpires would favour Dogs, didn’t know they would give them the game. 14-4 and a wrong free kick goal. What a bloody joke.

We need to get over the free kick count.

Play harder and smarter.

Sick of this team just being dumb

Salem and Langdon were in All Australian form for the first 10 weeks or so.

Since Salem missed sore and Langdon missed through concussion, both have dropped right off. Salem was ranked 10th best player in the league before missing. He’s not in the top 60 since.

Our dump kicks to no one in particular.  And Gawn looking to kick after he gathers possession almost always instead of the handball to someone in the clear.

The other issue is pressure.  Once it goes into our forward half its too loose.  A zone in these conditions in our front half just plays into their hands and gives them the time they need to connect and transition relatively easily....then launch i50.  This last part is on SG.

We're 4 goals down and have only kicked 2 in an entire half...

What I would give for a forward who can take a mark, and kick the goal. Simple.

Mark.

Goal.

For the last 6 weeks or so, all our goals just look so scrappy. Ugly,

Ugh

14-4 for a game like this is not favouring it is gifting a game.

Going tall in the wet.

Not leaving May on Naughton.

Refusing to effectively share the ball with hands

And after all that Fritsch has probably fumbled away 3 goals and BBB has missed 2 easy ones.

I’ve been a BB supporter, but If he can’t nail his set shots he is of no use to us. Might as well replace with Weid at least he crashes the pack better

Same thing happened when Burgess was at Port. Dominate first half of year due to having increased fitness, fall into a lump of [censored] once other teams fitness catches up as year progresses.

Also Tom Macdonalds form has dropped since he had his child

I'm sure the forwards can practice that while the mids and rucks work on our clearances.

VINEY IS A SHEEEIT FOOTBALLER JUST TOTAL GARBAGE

Hopefully he improves otherwise it's going to very annoying for the next 4 years

Harmes drinking his own bathwater

Viney = rugby player

Fritsch don't touch my hair or chase.

Big composure from a top side just get ball and kick without looking or to the wrong side.

Forward line coach hopeless

Midfield going backwards remind me who's coach?

But still not out of it YET first 5 min will tell.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
