Premiership contenders don't lose to teams like Adelaide.    We might make a prelim but we wont win the flag.

The  Dogs and Lions will beat us the next two weeks.

That loss has been a few weeks in the making IMHO. Its almost a relief to get it out of the way. I will be happy to split the next 2 games 50/50 and reset at the bye.

Not the end of the world.

Just get rid of deliberate and make it last touch all over the ground

Robbed!!!

Deliberate out of bounds,10 seconds to go

Great game

[censored] up in the end by disgraceful umpiring!

Umpiring was appalling

Blatant HtB

Blatant deliberate

Neither paid due to noise of affirmation

Weid touch free last quarter. Mistake in hindsight dropping BBB.

Umpires would be proud getting their team over the line.

That missed holding the ball call and missed deliberate were disgraceful.

That was deliberate, not that it matters. We played like trash and deserved to lose that. We would have lost by more if not for Clarry.

Fancy losing to those posers. 1v 16. And with Tex kicking the winning goal.

I feel sick.

No more 'we get the job done despite being sloppy', we need to fix things for next week as the Doggies, and then Lions will not be as forgiving.

Maybe it's the loss we needed to have but gee we need to be a lot better.

Tigers lost to Adelaide in 2017 and 2019.

Umpire calls aside we played very poorly from the first bounce. Goodness Steven May got absoluted bathed and it stuck out in that final term.

Of course the AFL will say it was a wrong decision.

Nothing that a steak and few beers won’t fix.

Petracca needs to have a good hard look at himself

We had a lot of chances going forward and didn't take them, so we shouldn't have given the opportunity for those late decisions to matter.

We played badly and they played well. Sometimes that happens. We missed Salem's presence behind the ball quite a lot.

To blame anyone but ourselves for that loss is to wallpaper over the obvious cracks that have been there since we beat Richmond.
I hope this is the loss we had to have because boy did we play poorly for large chunks of that game. Oliver kept us in it,  but beyond that we had a really embarrassing amount of players who played like selfish millionaires.
In footy you get out what you put in. We put in no effort for an hour. We’ve been getting away with it, but eventually your luck runs out.
Salem is also basically our most important player. Our backline was exceptionally poor without him. He covers for the mediocrity of Hunt and Hibberd.

Obviously, you don't want to be relying on those free kicks to win a game, but the holding the ball before Walker's goal and the deliberate out of bounds at the end were very poor.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
