1.. Luke Jackson to take the next level as he has had a taste of what to expect. Pinch hit in the ruck

2.ย  PETRACย  andย  OLIVER to become an unbeatable combination and catapult us to the top of the ladder.

3. To play homeย  games on the MCG.

I'm looking forward to 2021 going down in history as the first flag of our premiership Deenasty.ย

Tokyo olympics = Melbourne premiership.

Good idea for a thread.ย

Having Stars

May, Lever, Petracca, Oliver, Gawn, Langdon, and Viney are comforting group of players to have as a base to work from. We should be in every game.

Genuine Small Forward

Pickett is a genuine talent and if he can calm down his final two steps with the footy he will be amazing. Has a left foot, super quick, good closing instincts and can tackle.

Genuine Full Forward

Desperation

Everyone will be under the Swordย of Damocles and I think that is healthy for our progression back to relevance to not be satisfied with 9th.

The prospect of going to a game at the MCG excites me most.

It might not happen straight away, or at all (depending on your level of optimism/pessimism about the world), but that excites me more than anything else right now.

Didn't really get into the Ramones. I remembered the song tho. I liked the Dead Kennedys and Bad Religion.

Great bands,ย I have live gigs up there with going to the footy for my 2021 hopes.

Seeing Jackson develop, he really looks like he could be something special.

Seeing Kozzie hopefully get more confidence and a cool head to finish some of his great work.

Watching Petracca, not much else needs to be said he's just a joy to watch.

Hopefully actually seeing a game live.

Lots of looking back and looking at trades.. but what excites you about the Dees in 2021. Some positive re-enforcement for us all.

give us 3 Things:ย

1. Trentย Rivers - Took a little while to find his feet but by the endo f the year played like a mature 100 gamer. Tough, composed, Skilful and the ability to develop into a mid is a great sign. Really liked his first year.

2. Adem Yze - Will be interesting to see theย input and how quickly there are signs that his style and influence is being absorbed. Watching how Goodwin interacts with him will be fascinating

3. Christian Petracca - Those who have some football intelligence (all of us) will know that was his second pretty impressive year, others will say he just exploded and needs to do it more to be in the Dusty mould. in a 22 game season, he may just find even more gears to go and watching him in a final would be something else.ย

I agree with your comments above but on Yze I see something that has been missing from the MFC for quite awhile and that is a devotion to the jumper and by that I mean a dedicated former Demon assisting and hopefully helping to lead the "Demon" wayย  ofย ย Red and Blue Passion. Ask yourself when was the last time a former "D" was in the Football department leading the way by "Demon" example... Todd Viney was the last former Demon to coach our team back in 2011. Personally I would like to see Brad Miller back at the Demons even though he left in 2015 to move to Sydney.....as he has a great football brain in my opinion but that may be difficult due to his wife acting commitments and residing in NSW with his actress wife

The walk through the Gardens, crunchingย  autumn leaves, confident, excited, happy, the walk back to the car crunching the leaves a bit harder. I say to my son, great win mate/well it was good to sit and chat and get out anyway. I think a few blokes are only a year or two away.ย ย

Don't quote me Ohio David USA but the news may not have hit yourย fly over State With Trump trying toย ย look like re-election material.
Brad and Pia parted ways about 3/4ย years ago but both have a hand in Access toย their children.

I would stand corrected if this is not the case as tjis is the last I have heard in that time.

As fir Brad coming back nit sure what skills he had in an largely underWhelmingย career with us.

  • Welcome to Demonland: Steven King

The Melbourne Football Club has selected a new coach for the 2026 season appointing Geelong Football Club assistant coach Steven King to the head role.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
