Its obvious to me who is the selfish one. Also obvious whose skill we would miss most.

did anyone else notice Oliver laughing every time Viney got Brownlow votes. Definitely something not right there. Also Viney wasn't siting with Max or Clarry.

Well, at least it’s better than him shaking his head in disbelief.

Viney was in SA and Max and Clarry in Vic... that explains why they weren't sitting together.

C'mon, seriously! Viney was at the SA count, hard to sit with the other Dees when you're in a different state (as you seem to not know he was there for a wedding, and there was a heap of other players beyond the SA clubs as well). From the little I saw Clarry and Max both seemed to be laughing whenever they were shown.

That is because Viney and his wife were in S.A. and Max and Clarry were in South Melbourne.

My god this club is literally disintegrating. Viney can't stand Oliver to the point where he will leave the state. It's obvious from the body language Max & Clarry are both off to the Suns.

Difficult to sit next to someone in a different state

Let's bring logic into this Jaded, it doesn't fit with what people want too see

It's understood Oliver didn't want to be in the same studio as Viney so Jack elected to take his family to Adelaide instead of coming back to Victoria.

You have done well to work that out from the broadcast, especially since Oliver was wearing a mask..Viney wasn't in Melbourne. Max and Clayton were. Hard to sit with each other.

Yes Demon3, but there was a point there where Viney gets votes and, if you freeze the tape, Oliver blinks not once but twice. Admittedly, it was three rounds later but you cannot tell me it wasn't a deliberate slight.

And, do it in an Alan Partridge voice...

Anyone notice that Clarry was wearing a carlton tie, and had a Simon Goodwin Voodoo doll on his table?

My main concern from the footage last night was Gawn's mask not getting anywhere close to covering his mouth and nose.  between his beard and massive melon it didnt have a chance.

i suggest we commission some extra large ones - Maxi-Masks (copyright)

OK. I take it this is intended to be ironic.  Otherwise, the silliest post of all time.

too true ethan......btw did you think petracca has stacked on the weight?

The more Clayton rubs shoulders with the elite players and clubs the more he might get to thinking, I will go flat out for success with Trac and the others  in 2021. If it does not amount to anything I have the option of joining a top line power club. Now, I know what I just said is not rocket science and others will disagree but this game is now about professional success. Clayton is guaranteed enough money to set himself up, personal glory will come but with us he has little more he can do to have team success. People mock the Blues but he would add enormously to their midfield alongside Cripps and co.

I couldn’t look at him, his fatness disgusted me.

Plenty of times I've been in the same room as someone but in a different state.

Pretty sure that once you consider things three-dimensionally, Gawn's face was safely 1.5 metres away from anyone else.

I strongly suspect that Oliver's laughing was also Gawn related. I really doubt there was a single midfielder Brownlow vote at Melbourne that wasn't being counted towards an unofficial tally for the Ruck/Captain. What did he finish with, thirty something? Would easily have beaten Neale if Brownlow votes were counted 'properly'.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.
