Tracc has had two times he should have kicked for goal from 55, went for the pass and stuffed both up.
He’s had 7 touches and I know he’s not on his own, but Dusty he ain’t.

Brayshaw devoid of confidence at the moment. 4 touches at 25% at half time.

Bennell has offered nothing.

Eddie, Kingy and Derm whinging about taunting in the game, and they only show the Vanders example. Of course they don't talk about Max being targeted off the ball, including being repeatedly punched in the chest in the first quarter. Or maybe they could talk about McHenry going after May after the ball is gone. Biased umps and biased commentary.

Mahoney was so smug in the club video when he said last week was a once off performance. He was almost laughing when Ben aksed about the shocking performance against Port.

Fast forward 6 days and we are seeing something almost identical from a Melbourne point of view.

Yeah, we are up by a few points, but have not played any better than last week.

Our club is absolutely broken. We might end up winning by a few goals but right now any sane footy follower would have their money on the Cows.

This game has heartbreak written all over it.

Who would you bring in Jaded when a small fwd goes out?

Surely a Bedford couldn't do worse.

But it really is like switching witches hats at the moment.  We don't really have anyone better than ANB in the magoos right now.

Best game from Viney for a long time.

I think he's kept us in almost every game this year.

Seriously, this must run deeper than just what is happening on the field.  12 players don’t just lose their skill set between the end of one season and the start of another.  Reeks of “stick it to the coach”.

Our kicking in general, bar the odd one here and there (mostly to players 20 meters in the clear but even then it's a coin flip) is bloody awful.

Even senior players have no ability to finesse and just take a little power and pull a kick to a leading player.  It's horrid.  It's been a problem at this club for 50 years!

What I'd give for an Yze or Travis Johnstone in this team, now they could hit targets.

The amount of time we are open and free on the break and we can't hit targets is unbelievable, when you are watching live it tells the complete story.

3 easy goals if we are better skilled going I50.

What do we work on at training?

This is embarrassing....

Adelaide are absolute puss. They are easily the poorest team in the competition right now and we’re just fluffing around  with it. If we don’t come out with some killer instinct in the second half and put this game to bed, this game and season is dead.

what a [censored] head !!!

Looking a bit sickly too bbo. on the sauce I suspect

Lots of passengers at the moment.  Crows are smashing us just not on the scoreboard.  If we keep them in this game they will beat us

Jeez Vandenburg is a [censored] footballer. He’s basically selected to try and hurt blokes. Can’t find the ball and can’t hit a target on the rare occasion he does. Been a waste of a list spot for years. 3 year contract hahaha

Bennell is cooked. Great story he got back playing, but my grandmother moves with more urgency...and she’s dead! He’s shot. Can’t run even if he wanted to. Sad to see.

Viney and May playing well. The rest have to lift enormously. Goodwin's career on line.

I'd bring in any bloke off the street.

He's legit the worst footballer that's ever pulled on this jumper.

Spargs then? Lol.

Have you opened up anything good yet bbo?

Unless... the weapon is released to play his natural game

Mids keep it going forward

Free space/block/ruck it to ground/ create space and allow Harvey do his stuff

I expect no likes ...because most of you guys would be happy for the big H to fail.

Not me

If we don't lift and the game continues along the same lines, do we take it as a statement about the coach from the players given the messaging throughout the week?

Our coaches should be directing our players in the back line not to aim kicks to Melbourne players in the second half.

Clearly a flawed tactic so far.

Stoppage clearance 13 to 8

And people still rate our mids?

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
