3rd qtr

Melksham goal

some pressure on the footy

- chances missed inside 50 ... need marking forward

- letting tiger smalls run

? umps crucifying us with inconsistency

? tigers just bully us and no response

Not that it would make a difference, but the umpiring today has been ducking terrible. Haven’t noticed it be bad for a few weeks, but today has been poor. Frees incorrectly paid and not paid repeatedly. I wish I could repeatedly [censored] up at my job and have no repercussions!

The misery continues people & can see another list of players in another decade achieving zero.. our plan is flawed & only one person to blame

Astounds me how far this team has fallen. We’ve played one good qtr for 2020.

Pert Bartlett and Mahoney should drive together to sydney.

They should drive the buses make these blokes soul search on an overnight bus trip to Sydney

To put it simply we fold under pressure. It was evident in 2018. Only difference is we got found out in 2019 and now the joke is on us. Up the ante and we fold like a house of cards.. turnovers are a symptom of this.

Melbourne players are just plain dumb. I just think we don't have any football brains out there. These players need a smart coach at least and we are missing that too.

Don’t feed the troll.

You can practice and practice and practice, but it matters little on game day, not sure which bit you comedians don't get, it is the onfield leadership,  which is sadly lacking today

why is lockhart matched up with riewoldt?!??

what is going on??

That's called "Gifting the opposition their most preferred match up" WW.

It is also yet another signal (if we needed any more) that Goody hasn't got a clue.

Not much to redeem this.  Risks are obvious and not coming off.  They simply don’t have the skills or intellect to deliver.

I can't agree.  He is getting to contests that Oscar would never get near.  We need to see what he can become.

Reiwoldt only has 1 goal and isn't hurting us with his 9 posessions.

We already know what Oscar is and he has reached his ceiling.

This isn't the backline's fault.

Oscar can defend one on one. For all his flaws he can defend. Joel Smith is running to contests because he’s losing his opponent in the pace of the game.

We're 17th on the ladder

Great Job Simon

You should resign in shame

Basically it boils down to this.

We have no forward line.

Statistics  even show it is the worst in the league for the past two seasons.

Question. [censored] is Goodwin’s win loss record since he was gifted a 3 year extension to his coaching contract ?

Fellow Demonlanders, if i win the 80 million this thursday i will pay the clubs debt and pay Goodwin out.

Dont stress.

Guess GWS was happy for Tomlinson to go. Horrible footballer.

TMac, May, Hibberd, AvB at least tried that quarter.

[censored] off our coach is [censored] can't come up with a decent game style, can't develop talent, can't develop skills, can't develop leadership. EVERYTHING IS WRONG WITH GOODWIN!

Ads between the quarters showing deer running around on their own in headlights..

not much different

BTW. Viney has been truly horrible in this game. Has he had an effective disposal?

Some of these things happening can be put down to bad luck but we are creating A LOT of our own bad luck.

We are handing North pick one.
Watch that kid win 3 Brownlows and be the greatest player of all time.

I agree with most. But Smith has been caught in no man's land so many times. While the game plan is a nightmare for our defenders but Smith has been diabolical today in my opinion.

I don't think Lever and Smith should play in the same team and Lever is so much better.

Omac would free Lever up to play his preferred role. I dont think Omac is great but he's better than Smith.

  • REPORT: Geelong

I was disappointed to hear Goody say at his post match presser after the team’s 39 point defeat against Geelong that "we're getting high quality entry, just poor execution" because Melbourne’s problems extend far beyond that after its 0 - 4 start to the 2025 football season. There are clearly problems with poor execution, some of which were evident well before the current season and were in play when the Demons met the Cats in early May last year and beat them in a near top-of-the-table clash that saw both sides sitting comfortably in the top four after round eight. Since that game, the Demons’ performances have been positively Third World with only five wins in 19 games with a no longer majestic midfield and a dysfunctional forward line that has become too easy for opposing coaches to counter. This is an area of their game that is currently being played out as if they were all completely panic-stricken.

  • PREGAME: Essendon

Facing the very real and daunting prospect of starting the season with five straight losses, the Demons head to South Australia for the annual Gather Round, where they’ll take on the Bombers in search of their first win of the year. Who comes in, and who comes out?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?

  • POSTGAME: Geelong

The Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, falling to 0–4 after a more spirited showing against the Cats at Kardinia Park. Despite the improved effort, they went down by 39 points, and the road ahead is looking increasingly grim.
