Yeah let’s put Bennell or Brown or Weid down there and see what happens.

Oh crap well maybe next week. ?

We could have plugger at full forward our delivery is killing us, Viney has no composer what so ever he rushes without thinking

Should show the players Richmond laughing on the bench.  Just shows what they think of us

Wow with a full squad we have another goalless Quarter and defence have had 0 intercept marks for the game. Don’t get me started on our midfield.

We are a shambles end to end and right back into the Neeld era.

Messy messy messy. A few mistakes from Maxxy but my god he is leagues above the rest; most tackles and the little efforts that the captain should always display.  Love him.

1.5 years of not being able to score, continues.

Lots to like but ... execution, execution, execution.

(And that's being kind. We should change our colours to blue and white stripes there are so many butchers in the team.)

Can somebody explain to me why Kosi was penalised for an unrealistic attempt at marking when the only person that he touched was TMac.?????

Another Goodwin Goaless qtr to keep the streak going!

I don't think this ones on Goodwin - we've had opportunities skill errors have killed us

It's the skill level and decision making!!!!!!!!

Can already predict the post match interview from Goodwin.

Find a more enjoyable hobby I think.

It’s a weird psychological thing isn’t it? I literally did not enjoy one single second of that quarter, but I’m settling in for the second half, knowing I probably won’t enjoy that either, because I can’t bear not watching for the the 1% chance I might get some joy. I’m sick. We’re sick.

106 hb's to 80 kicks

More i50s

We're playing the same as we play every week.

Wtf does Goodwin even do FFS

STUBBORN and USELESS

Richmond 12 shots on goal from 18 entries. Stellar defending

Glad we paid all that money for lever so we could play Joel Smith on Riewoldt and get 2 touches from Lever. He would wanna play the rest of his career on a minimum contract.

Perfect kick to TMac - easily outmarked.

Oliver is getting a heap of the ball and I don't reckon 1 kick has spun like a drop punt. And he simply cannot hit a target by foot.

Not sure what has happened to Fritsch, but he looks sub-AFL

We can't take a mark inside 50, ans when we do our skills and decision making are horrendous.

I am so disappointed... again... or is it still

Frrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Can’t believe I voluntarily give up hours of my life for this. Sigh.

There's a new group, Demons Anonymous

I'll be your sponsor Nash

Richmond don't rate us. It's all about them getting their act together and whoever they are playing today is irrelevant. We're not relevant.

Big loss coming up...we are awful!

No skills and no system...so difficult to watch. Pressure should be on the coaching staff

Coaching staff doing an outstanding job

What a hopeless team we are. We lack class and we continue to play ordinary players like Hannan, Vandenberg, Lockhart and Rivers in front of our only classy player in Bennell as I already said shocking decision. Another bad quarter that has cost us the game it always happens under Goodwin. He must go, Roos's decision to get an Essendon clown in has been a flop. We must have a go at a coach that has premiership experience and that is Yze from Hawthorn. 100% of the blame must go on the coach the sooner he is sacked the better.

The coach doesn't had a [censored] clue and the player's are devoid of confidence and skill are dumb and not to mention soft.

Get rid of the entire coaching group they are useless.

This is classic Melbourne under Goodwin.

We’ve had more disposals, more CPs, more clearances, more tackles, more inside 50s, but fewer shots on goal and we’re losing.

That quarter was 9 inside 50s each.

If you’re blaming the defenders you don’t get it.

It’s all about our turnovers. They have 7 goals, 5 are from turnovers. Most of them are awful kicks inside 50 which don’t get marked. Fritsch has missed about 6 kicks. Oliver too. VDB in the first quarter under no pressure missed TMac in a paddock.

We are moronic for not picking a second tall forward. Fritsch is getting belted and will be physically destroyed if we don’t get another body down there to help, because TMac is being blanketed.

Instead,  we picked all of Hannan, Melksham and VDB. It’s not working.

Nothing was more obvious than Melbourne playing Richmond back into form.

No they’re not, Rich still average.... Dees so much worse.

Goody has half a match left to try and save his sinking ship.  Try something different Goody for once in your coaching career!

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.
