Even Freo or Adelaide would’ve bested Geelong today.

We are pathetic

coach is gone if he doesn’t turn this joke of a side around

It was clear we sucked when our b team got point aways from beating our a team.

That has no relevance whatsoever, they swapped the players around in the scratch match

What a bunch of brain dead footballers

Every Geelong goal that quarter was a gift from our useless team. Basic stuff like having a player on the goal line.

Simpleton Goodwin can't teach these guys how to do normal things that the players should learn in primary school

It's infuriating following this team

And Geelong are useless

Goodwin has to go. He is giving the side no hope playing this ‘brand’ of football. Our best football looks great, but he is actively playing guys out of form. It’s pathetic. The club needs to have some balls and dismiss him before he does a neeld on the entire list

We will go nowhere with this coaching group.

Oliver has gone backwards so fast he will soon end up being worthless to us. His ability to hit a target in a good position is non existent.

Our mids don’t put much pressure on, our forwards do not chase other than picket.

North are loving this.

Why do we always look less disciplined and unorganised than every other team? Simple things like killing the ball in the backline or being aware of the players in the area you are protecting. We look lost, confused, lacking in confidence and have a horrible inability to use our instincts.

somehow we make every kick in an impossible equation while letting every kick in against us a gift.

i have to think it’s in the way we train. Players look stunned on game day. Some of these guys once had instinct and used it. Are they being over coached or poorly coached? It’s horrible to watch

We've just got to change the coach.  Players careers will be over before they know it, without any inspiration or leadership to get them through it with any sustained success.

We can't let this go on, it's the way we're playing that's just devoid of any spirit or confidence.

We would be creaming this match if we had any viable forward targets. Hunt doing his best, but seldom able to finish. TMac clomping about, not taking marks a better player would and Fritsch, disappointingly not proving to be the surprise package we hoped for. Until we have a genuine class forward, this will always be the story.

Enough good guy routine. Goodwin needs to give the boys a spray and get them fired up. Our mids are not working anywhere near hard enough. Looking at you Viney and Oliver.

We are the worst coached team in the league over the past 18 months.

This is [censored] awful.

I have held out for a while but we have no coach. This is garbage.
They are one down and beating us and we have kicked 3 goals in 3/4.
Picked a team of flankers and most have hardly touched it.
Worst skills of any team in the AFL by a mile. Can’t handball to advantage and can’t kick the footy to a team mate. No game plan or system at all.

What a pitiful effort, don’t have anyone on the goal line and let a goal through, leave Geelong players unmarked for two others. This is not the coaches fault it’s the players out there not thinking about manning up., not marking, not being able to kick straight. Our disposal efficiency is consistently worse than our opponents, as is our forward entries.

Viney adds nothing. Plods around like Jones picking up cheap handballs and doing no damage.

We telegraph we are going to play fast with our selection.

What does Scott do? Simply tell his team to play super slow ball knowing we have a a few players who don't run hard enough to cover.

The scary thing is we pretty much have a full list to choose from at the moment. This is as good as it gets.

We are so focussed on defending that we have forgotten how to try and score. We have given our guaranteed 3 own goals per game so hope that is all. Ned the first and to actually play with some run and dare.

The board will sell this as a re-build (we’re tons younger and inexperienced than Geelong ) as they can’t possibly sack Goodwin given the financial plight.

hang in there DLS. I have a gut feeling the Dees will come back.

Put Daisy Pearce in the box.

Can Alan Richardson please step up ASAP.

Great call. If Goodwin is struggling who the [censored] is supporting or feeding him his ideas. Cause I haven’t seen anything.

Dees by 11.

That farce in our forward line early summed so much up.

A certain goal stuffed up about three times before it was cleared by Geelong.

Oliver got possession, running towards goal and turned and ran away from goals and lost it.

He continually sends the ball backwards rather than forwards when clearing.

He also walked off Guthrie at one stage and let him grab a second possession and set up a goal.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
