Lord Nev 13,512 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Bloke gave us some exciting times as a Dee. Will miss him at his best. Best wishes to Dec as well, seemed like a hard worker. Garlett and Keilty depart 11 Quote

Wish him all the best. A Demon forever. 4 Quote
Little Goffy 14,994 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 One of the players who helped nudge my wife into enjoying football. Both the 'fun' things he did in play and the moments of cheekiness he provided. Really glad we had him these last few years, one of those small wins that help a club grow. Plus, we got to be in the 'have ex-Carlton players kicked more goals than Carlton this week?' game. 1 Quote
DubDee 26,805 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 78 games - 138 goals thanks Jeffy. best of luck Dec 2 Quote
Nasher 33,686 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Had a disappointing last couple of seasons but Garlett added some excitement to the side over the years. At his best, he was a seriously dangerous small forward. Came basically for free too, with the added bonus of enabling us to laugh at Carlton. All the best Jeff. Thanks to Keilty for the services as well. 8 Quote
Sir Why You Little 37,511 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Thanks Boys Good luck Jeffy was a bargain. Time to find another We need speed!!! 1 Quote
Delusional demon 82 1,197 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Last great memory of his career was when he basically carried us over the line in the last quarter against the lions up at the Gabba when they had gone on a 6-7 goal run against us , some classy snaps to steady the ship . At the end of the day it all counted to us making finals that year . I also remember Dland melting down in the post match thread that game even though we’d won 2 Quote
Cheap Seats 3,310 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Thanks Jeffy All the best, well played - 185 more games then a mug like I. Thank you and all the best Quote
Bring-Back-Powell 15,587 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 They rate C Wagner over Garlett ??!!!!??? Really.... Garlett was an outstanding acquisition considering the little we gave up for him, and provided some great entertainment over his 5 seasons at the club. 1 Quote
Uncle Fester 2,848 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Was great when on, was colder than cold when he wasn't, but all told was a good pickup for us in bad times. Thanks Jeff Quote

Robbie57 2,042 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Thank you both, Jeffy an absolute gem for us and great to watch especially when he got the ball out the back. Quote
Demon Dynasty 17,169 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 (edited) Jeffy & Watts the only reliable finishers over the meagre years until T-Mac's entre' last season.. Our only bit of class besides Fritschkreig in front of the sticks now gone. Hope this trade season goes well! Some great moments and helped us over the line to win a few extra games and enhance other wins. One of my favs was the match in the red centre against the Crows last year. Last time i can recall him truly turning it on as per 2017 et al. You always knew Jeffy would finish most opportunities off last season and prior if given the chance. All class. Well done to Dec for sticking fat and making it to the big league! Good luck to both in their post AFL endeavours. Edit: nearly forgot Melk! Apologies. Edited August 27, 2019 by Rusty Nails Quote

dazzledavey36 56,448 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Loved Jeffy! Felt like he was unfairly maligned last year and should have been playing up forward instead of Spargo. Jeffy was your typical Paul Roos pick and unfortunately we haven't had once since. He brought excitement and at his best back in 2017 was unlucky not to be named in the 40 All Australian squad. All the best to Declan Keilty as well and thanks heaps to @Drunkn167 for all the updates and input. VFL for next year for Dec? 7 Quote
Tom Dyson 1,647 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 sad to see Dec go, i thought he had some real potential (but then again there aren't many others i would get rid of) thanks for the good times Jeffy. (I still think Jeffy brings more to the table then Spargo) 1 Quote
pitmaster 3,592 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Dec played two AFL games for two wins. A 100% win rate is a very rare thing at our club. Well done, kid. Jeffy was wonderful at his best. A great contributor. Farewell both. 3 Quote
ding 5,126 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 I only visited this thread to see how long it takes Saty to pounce on the first negative comment. That, and to say thanks for your time in the jumper lads. 2 Quote
olisik 4,060 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Wow, now Nathan Jones is the clubs highest goal kicker. What a sad state of affairs we have been reduced to. Quote
Demons11 7,152 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Jeffy was brilliant early for us but unfortunately went missing in games to often in the last couple of years. He was great watch when up and going. Quote
