Definitely went through the goals.

I wonder whether the reviewers thought the question was which side of the post it went through. They made that decision awfully quickly with only one camera angle.

Just saw an angle that has me changing my mind (yes miracles can happen), I was wrong there, did go through goals

Carlton May fight out epic draw.

All up to our 22.

Knowing our luck probably be team to finish outside 8 with highest percentage ever.

Classic Jenkins. Said post match he thought ball touched the post.

Definitely went through the goals as you can see the shadow of the ball goal side. Wouldn’t have a clue if it snuck the post though.

No, it went left unless I am seeing things.  My stills show that ....

Kind of want Sydney to win this. Think positive I want the best chance at top 4.

I really believe we are a genuine chance in all 4 of our games.

I am not worried what other teams are doing. If we just keep winning.

If we lose, we are still not good enough

i think our midfield is ready to kill, time will tell if i am right.

Port lost to Adelaide - great. Swans to account for Collingwood - game just started. We trash GCoast tomorrow. He comes position 3 on the ladder. Fingers crossed.

Luke Darcy just said that Jenkins thought it hit the post.  Honest but seriously dumb by Jenkins.  Should have said 'umpire was in the best position to decide'.

GWS will beat Carlton though.

assuming a win tomorrow next week is a big one.

GWS V Adelaide, Port v West Coast and us against the Swans.

Will definitely be a heart stopping weekend

Crows win was good. It is really obvious why we let Watts go. He does nothing especially when it is tight.

I hope the filth win as it may knock the stuffing out of the swans but I think the swans will win.

Awkward timing to say that when we are about to play Gold Coast in a must-win game late in the season!

Having said that, I think you're quite right, and while I've never hated Watts it became obvious the moment I started thinking about our forward line without him. He just doesn't quite... do... anything in particular.

Sorry Trav but that pic shows it in front of the goals. Can just see the point of the ball in front of the post

That being said, I think it hit the post.

I was adamant of it too, but on Ch7 I just saw and angle I hadn’t previously seen, on that it seems to go through goals and is clearest angle I have seen

Adelaide can still make 8 so they will go for broke next week

Absolutely. We hold our own destiny.

Great round of footy.

The ball certainly went through the goal posts. Did it shave the post?

The Camera angles cannot be conclusive (what a joke)

Umpires call was a goal.

Darcy Moore being given a bath by Franklin so far.

Saved by the siren from yet another loss in a one on one marking comp.

Obviously missing Dunn.

Anybody's game but it does not look up to the standard of the other games based on the first quarter.

Sydney have to win tonight. For a few reasons, so the pies can be knocked out of the top 4, they get ahead of the teams below them like cats, nth, essenscum and im sick of hearing abut the pies winning.

anyway is anyone watching the game of the round Saints v Bulldogs? Saints have started well and I reckon they will beat the dogs.

Well done hawks today. I just watched the last 2 minutes off the afl site. I think it makes it sweeter they lost by a small margin. I couldn't help myself. I had to go over to bomberblitz for a laugh.

Yeah with you on that. Hard fought game but the skill level is lacking. I'm on the Swans. I just can't barrack for Collingwood sorry.

I;m with you @GCDee - we have form in the west - particularly as they're depleted - we match up rather well.

I think on body of work for the year - we should get up over sydney - irrespective of what happens in our and their match.

And I think in the case of the GWS - they;ve got more class and outside (which can kill us) but we should go alright up forward - it's contingent on planning and execution (as i guess it is every week(.

He's deliberately poking the port adelaide bear... love it.

not the sharpest tool in the shed

The filth are doing the right thing but for the 2nd half I don't know. Strangely I think the swans will play the MCG better than the SCG.

Jenkins is not any sort of umpire, so his opinion is irrelevant. The umpires followed accepted procedures and the reviewer saw no reason to contradict the umpires call. Nothing would be done now to overturn it even if there is evidence it hit the top of the point post. game over

Port play west coast in Adelaide next week with a few showers forecast.  I don’t rate Port that highly but hopefully they’ll make it a slog next week.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
