He could kick ten goals but would be roasted for missing one. Please Joeboy just leave Dom off your list. It is so repetitive. We know what you will say weeks ahead. Quote

Dom T is a turnover merchant. MFC pays him a fortune to kick the ball to the opposition. Edited May 12, 2018 by dieter 6 1 Quote
Demon_spurs 1,984 Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Weed's game may have appeared irrelevant to you, but I think it's a journey we may all enjoy in a year or two.....be patient grasshopper 9 1 1 Quote
ignition. 1,478 Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 I made sure I watched Tyson today. Don't see how Tyson can be called a momentum killer or turnover merchant. From what I noticed he only once had a clanger and held up the momentum, respectively. By half time he had the highest disposal efficiency (just above 90% by memory). On the contrary there was Harmes, who if it were Tyson you'd be saying "prolific but wasteful" as he got a lot but many of the possessions had little impact and/or missed targets. 6 Quote

spirit of norm smith 16,677 Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Tyson had a poor game. Got caught 3-4 times and had two bad turnovers. He gets the footy but his disposal takes a split second too long. He can improve and knows it. He could be of a few players that I’d think they can be the difference for us being medium 9-11 place team and a very very good 1-5 places team. 2 Quote

RalphiusMaximus 6,112 Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Clarry is just a freak. He had a couple of moments today that left me utterly dumbstruck. On in particular where there was a bouncing ball in the midst of three opponents. I was sure he was going to be nailed, but he summed up the situation and just accelerated through the pack, took the ball at a sprint and broke clear before they could get a grip on him. It's a small thing but the speed of thought and making the right decision, not to mention the burst of speed, were really eye-catching. 4 Quote
Jaded No More 68,976 Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Tyson was ok in the first half. But gees he does some dumb [censored] that kills us. Trac is struggling. Reckon he is not back to fitness yet. Barely played outside the 50 today. 1 Quote

He is already close to the best MFC player i have seen. in addition to his hands i love how he can suddenly stop and then get going again. Like a bespoke side step that gives him time and space. Adzman 2,154 Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Trac - nowhere near himself He is either injured or out of form. He needs to turn it on against the Blues. 1 Quote
praha 11,267 Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Very tough on Weeds. 1 hour ago, Adzman said: Trac - nowhere near himself He is either injured or out of form. He needs to turn it on against the Blues. It's becoming a standard game from him though. Time we acknowledged that as a fan base. Still walk up 22 but he's not anywhere near his best. He's still maturing as a player and, most notably, as an adult. He still seems like a teenager to me. Love him though. Quote
BigFez 1,491 Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Don’t think Weideman should be judged on his stats alone. While I agree he needs to get more of it, his importance to the structure, making contests, giving max a spell etc all justify his position in the side IMO. Pedo could play the same role more effectively at the moment, but for now it looks like Goodwin and co have decided that is how they want to structure up, and Weid is the man. I think he’s shown enough to stay and develop until he starts costing us games. Not everyone can take 10 marks and kick 5 every week, but if weed is playing his role which in turn releases T Mac or Hoges to do their damage, then he stays in. Apart from that, nice work as always. 1 Quote

Question: How do you think Jones felt beating 4-5 players and then delivering the ball perfectly to Tyson on hbf, who was on his own and dropped the mark, then picked the ball up from where he dropped it, then kicked it straight to a Sun's player who went towards goal, where Tyson again got involved, fumbling the ball and leading to a Suns' goal? Answer: I like him, he’s good size and hard enough at it , can kick a goal ,but he just seems to lose concentration at times. Quote

We need to annihilate Carlscum by the same amount of goals as we did with Gold Coast. With some of their key players possibly missing, perhaps this can take place. We need a win for 4 points; we need a massive victory for added percentage to shake up the top 4 on the ladder. We need it now. Quote
waynewussell 6,964 Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 I never reply to these 3 word posts... but this one is the most positive. I am a Tyson fan but agree that he had a poor game and if Viney comes through today, is the most logical choice to make way. My only gripe about these summaries is Weid... I've liked everything about him this time 'round... and I am witnessing his coming of age in the big league (I am also a Pederson fan!) 1 Quote
