6 goals to 1 that quarter

Will take a minor miracle for the Orange Boys to get up from here

I do like the way they give off to the player running past after taking a mark but they seem to overuse the tactic of attacking around the boundary line.

Would prefer to see them come up the middle ... they may try it in the last quarter

He has nothing to fear from Richmond - it is the umpries he needs to worry about.  They are likely to give the tigers a dream run like the did the bulldogs last year.

God I hope Letracca turns out like Martin. Midfield or forward he is just so powerful and changes games. Petracca has the same gifts, hope he can develop the same way.

Seriously GWS, repeat that 10 minutes you showed against us and it's over, but no......

Exactly where is that pressure.  They have been dismal in this 2nd half.  No forward structure, stevie j useless.  2 stupid decisions in that 3rd quarter. They have all the talent but have failed again.

Go crows next week

Ellis might be joining Cotchin in the stands

The irony of GWS is that they don't know how to play this ground. They are always 25 metres short in the midfield zone positioning.

And because they AFL doesn't want to be embarrassed by their lack of supporters they'll get so few games scheduled at the G.

It's going to be a real issue for them.

Just a reminder of the monkeys that used to run our club

Rubbish. We may have been run by simians, but that list doesn't provide evidence of it.   Trengove & $cully were widey thought to be 1 & 2.  Stop beating yourself up.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
