She mentioned the club had a duty of care to look after him and the article suggests they didn't.

Fantastic opportunity for the club that lands Stringer to help him rebuild his life - clearly the Dogs dont have the support structure needed. Nobody yet has stated what crime he has committed or what he did wrong apart from let his personal life effect his professional life. Had his form not dropped at the Doggies all the bulldust would have blow over. 

Sure the noisy right wing conservative do-gooders will have their say - but its 2017 not 1964.

No not that way. I mean i feel bad for them with having a father who ! is a public AFL footballer and the way he has been acting and the fall out from such behaviour. And two those kids will be adults one day and instead of looking back at their dad as an AFL player they will sadly have to only have a real low life person to remember.

The man has problems, clearly. He is on a path to ruin and seems hell bent on hurting those he claims to love in the process. He almost certainly isn't the only one in the AFL system having these battles. The clubs and the AFL aren't doing much to change it. I don't see how the ball can get rolling on addressing toxic culture without someone speaking up.

But his form did drop off at the dogs, his personal life did effect his (and others at the clubs) professional life. They are givens, not hypothetical. 

He's a nasty piece of work and I'm glad it appears our club will continue its 'no dhead' policy. Nearly all posters on here have faith in the recruiting decisions Goody, Taylor, TViney and Mahoney have made over the last few years. You should too.

Your continual love for Stringer and hyperbolic rants about "noisy right wing conservative do gooders" is certainly good for a laugh. Ever thought about stand up comedy?

Absolutely, Dogs have stuffed this whole Stringer saga terribly. He is no alter boy but worth the risk - if we dont land him as I said earlier wish the boy luck he is an amazing football talent that can be obtained for a relatively reasonable price.

I would ask the leadership group whether it could work - gut feel, that in 2017, that LG would say 'let's talk to him but we don't think so.'
