Some Melbourne supporters continue to stalk Jack Watts like Colin Sylvia appears to stalk ex girlfriends. Let him go.

They will - when they're good and ready

It was like the Truman show.

We sign off with Good afternoon, Good evening and Good night.  History will judge the decision. How it was all done will also be debated.

We wish Jack the very best, as a loyal Demon who will one day be back in some way to the club.

He did some good things. But it's not like he won any Blueys. The club will go on and given our talent, get better. Trust the people in charge, they're the best we've had in a time if not ever. Hardly the time for melts.

I'm not a Robbo fan, but that is a very good article.

It was indeed. And importantly dispelled the myth about his B & F placement. He was eleventh prior to injury.

Advice taken rpfc. I'm retiring with 'general soreness' and won't face another delivery in this thread. There were some wild bouncers early on, but I expect it'll all be pretty much repeat stock balls from here on in.

Not sure how important that is given that his form on return warranted him being dropped for a couple of games. You don't get votes in the Bluey when you're playing for Casey.

The Watts era has ended without the Demons salvaging anything notable from their 28 draft selections between 2006 and 2011.  No top 20 picks are at the club anymore !

With Jack Trengove delisted and Colin Garland retiring, only three (Max Gawn, Neville Jetta, Tom McDonald) from that era remain at Melbourne.

There is a philosophy that I have experienced to be totally true which runs along the lines of :

"If there is no joy in it there will be no success"

So I do hope the club is not looking to stamp out Joie de vivre.

Its truly a stunning statistic isnt it. 28 stuffed selection. Max, Nev and Tom are all guns but they were ALL late picks. Amazing ....it really was a cursed episode in the clubs history wasnt it. Complete with the tanking scandal and the deaths of Jimmy, Robbie and Bailey. May we live in happier times in the coming years.

Says the guy posting private information about a player, information received in confidence, on a public forum.

Respect?

It's heartening that you are so concerned about some private information that I have released on this thread that may be of some 'damage' to Jack. And it's even more heartening that ProDee has liked your post giving some indication that perhaps he is the intellectual giant that he professes to be.

So that I could apologise to Jack for letting out what must be some pretty damaging private information about him for you to be so concerned, would you be so kind as to let me know which of my comments in particular cause you so much concern?

And perhaps at the same time, you could finally respond to some of my recent posts asking you for clarification on some of you earlier comments on this thread. Thank you. I await your considered response. I have included them here again below in their entirety to save you time:

Here's a funnier fact

Midfielders have dominated the Brownlow (joke) medal for the past 15 years or so

JW was/is not a midfielder

But, let's not any of this get in the way of the constant bs by a couple of posters

I like Robbo. A cheerful bloke and without doubt loves the Dees. The Robbo/MFC dynamic has worked well on and off the field.

But if we're honest there was a time we played RobboLotto. Here we'd turn up to a game not knowing which Robbo would ! The electrifying forward or the lazy shlt that just couldn't be bothered and sooked. Gladly the better one showed up mainly, but not exclusively.

Id be careful denoting anothers career. RR himself only got 17 charlies out of 228 games !! Just saying ;)

Suppose we're all entitled to an opinion

Another fun stat ?

Watts has 13 Brownlow votes from 153 games.  Oliver has 15 from 35.

Ok then let's go with a non midfielder.

Watts has 13 Brownlow votes from 153 games.

Jesse Hogan has 14 Brownlow votes from 51 games.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
