Imagine your season being sunk by Hannan and Harmes.

Its not the end of the world for Saints supporters, they have that 1 flag they can console themselves with.

Just now, Watts the matter said:

Mr. Negative here,

Glad we won, but we were shithouse.

StKilda were just much worse.

The forward entries still a major concern, players bombing away when they should be looking around.

Pedo, well done, puts that ridiculous Pederson vs Weideman debate to bed.

Brayshaw, a great return game.

Hannan clutch.

We rubbish for about one third of the game, we were good the rest of the time.

Utter rubbish. Pressure match and some great passages of play as well as mistakes (brought about through aggressive ball movement). Aints came back at us and we stood up.

Disagree, got lucky with some poor entries when we had clear options open.

An example is Lewis bombing in and Harmes taking a mark 2 on 1 when Weideman was all alone 40 out. There were many other times similar things happening but they get overshadowed because of individual efforts. I'm glad we have players capable of winning 2 on 1s but I'd rather we played a team game.

Lets not kid ourselves, StKilda were as bad as a I can remember a team in the 1st quarter.

Razor Ray was their best in the first half.

Oliver's blatant refusal to actively not kick the ball leads me to believe he must be suffering from some minor OP.

One of his kicks in the last in the centre was sublime. He received the ball and put it out in front of a teammate running forward and he didn't have to break stride.

More kicking please Clayton, it is weapon you need to be exploiting.

Salem back for Wagner please. Unsure if Watts was good enough to replace Weideman but he's like a rabbit in headlights

Salem might miss a few games after his hit on a player in the VFL, so this may not happen.

Was I also led to believe that Hogan is a chance next weekend as well?

Great, gutsy win but these fade outs are causing my blood pressure no favours.  I would love to see us play 4 quarters of football without dropping off. We would be just about unbeatable.

Weideman can go back to Casey.  Laid a couple of good tackles but at other times looked slow. Petracca is brilliant but I just wonder if he needs to leave his ego at home and just play footy.

Gee a decent win next week could see us play finals if we lose against pies.

Eagles have Gws and then crows

Dogs have crows and Hawks

Dons have Gold coast and freo but are 4 points behind,

Our % is a tad higher than all of them,

OK thanks WB. Didnt someone say Salem would be ok and wasnt even reported?

Unsure about Hogan, but would be nice to have all 3 of those back. Pedo stays in, put him on a wing if need be, team plays better with him in it for whatever reason but as Clint said, Gawn forward and Pedo in ruck looks much more dangerous

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
