Looking forward to the typical 'response' win against this mob only to be followed by a loss to Brisbane at the G two weeks later.

Woooohoooo to be a Melbourne supporter.

Greene out. Mumford out. Cameron out.

Melbourne regain around 450 games of experience with Vince and Jones returning.

The stars are aligning for the typical 'responding against the critics' type of performance that only comes after a bad loss against an irrelevant team.

Out: Trengove, ANB, Hogan

IN: Jones, Vince, Weideman

If Jones and Vince weren't returning this weekend, then I'd be inclined to give Maynard a run. In all seriousness I hope he gets a game soon. His VFL form of late has been amazing.

^ How do we know Mummy is definitely out?

I suppose it helps when I actually do my research

FB: Jetta  Oscar  Hibberd
HB: Hunt  Frost   Salem
C: JKH   Oliver  Jones
HF: Hannan  Petracca ANB
FF: Watts   Tom Mc   Garlett
Foll:  Gawn  Viney  Tyson
Int:  Maynard,  Vince/Wagner,  Melksham,  Harmes

Out: Hogan (inj), Lewis (rested), Trengove (retired)
In:  Jones,  Maynard, Vince/Wagner

I'd back Hannan in to bounce back unless he's really sore and then maybe bring in Stretch or DJ.

Up to Goody if he wants to give Vince his spot back or punish his stupidity.

There's no room for Lewis this week. The Giants are too quick in the midfield and run far too hard on the wings. We don't need a loose man back and we can't carry a midfielder with no pace or run, not one who is afraid of putting their head over it either.

Petracca has to go forward and be a creative link player. Bring Maynard in to crash and bash around the packs.

Deledio might come back for them too this week.  Hopper an outside chance after a good game in the NEAFL.  Regardless, this is one game that we can't complain too much about outs - Greene and Cameron are big losses for them and for Freo to run them so close means they can't have been brilliant on the weekend (not that I saw the game).

Contested ball winners to come in against the hard running GWS.

I mentioned earlier;

IN- Jones, Vince and Maynard. (Contested ball winners and can run and carry)

OUT- Hogan (inj), Hannan (surely inj and needs a rest), Trengove.

With the way our game plan is set up for our non existent forward. No need for Pedo or Weideman to come in this week. I think Gawn needs to rest forward more and rotate Watts and/or Tmac through the ruck. Need Garlett, ANB, Harmes, Petracca playing at his feet.

If we want to play a genuine Full Forward Position. Weideman plays for JKH.

I would like to see Lewis drift forward more inside F50. I am not huge on him playing back too much.

Would've thought if the forecast definitely predicts rain we might bring Jones and Vince in for Hogan and either Trenners or Hannan. If no rain, the Weid is a chance

With Jones and Vince due back, not sure this will be Maynard's week.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Weideman though.

Cheers, I've had about 2 days off in four weeks. Got it recorded on Fox, watched bits and pieces on my phone on Saturday, waiting for a chance to sit down and watch the lot.

We're already chalking up a win based on GWS's outs, days after a poor effort against a wooden spoon contender?

No wonder the server crashes after a loss.

Agree with the outs.

Jones, Vince & Weideman in.

If Hunt is injured then Maynard gets his opportunity.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
