Changes v Carlton

Cometh the time, cometh the Spencil. Bring Big Jake in to help out Max as he's still getting back into it, have him take it up to Kreuzer while Max can cause havoc in the forward line. And he's not injured, which makes him stand out at the moment.

Totally unnecessary. We are all covered with Tom and Pedo in the ruck.

The last thing we need is to be even less mobile, given how depleted our midfield is.

I rather plonk Gawn at FF and let Tom ruck for most of the game if Gawn is struggling for fitness.

confucious say, team who makes 5 or more changes rarely wins

unless absolutely required I would not make any more than needed through injury. Certainly Wagner would stay in if I was picking the team. not many had a good game on the weekend

I notice That a debutant Ruckman for Port Melbourne won the BOG medal against Jake Spencer.  And some fools on this site believe he is AFL standard. FCS Melbourne get rid of him.

If this post is correct I doubt Spencer will be getting a call up.

...and nor would he add any value.

I know injuries are a part of football, but thanks to the AFL with giving us a 6 day break we have lost a lot of our players, this makes me so p$*$^% off.

Not happy!

4 games in 18 Days 4 ÷18=4.5 days recovery on average between games how can this be agreed to by the club are we still getting handouts from the AFL?

not quite.

1st game - 6 day break - 2nd game - 6 day break - 3rd game - 6 day break - 4th game.

as they say ... don't mention the war .... but week after this we have our famous Darwin expedition.

Great time to totally stuff up our players for a few dollars. Better clubs would not expose themselves to the risk.

The only good thing is that the next game is against Port which is probably a loss anyway before the following must win against North.

But teams we play in Darwin have won the week after so it should be no different for us.

Why has the club not released any word on Viney and Tyson?

There are pics and rumours floating around that Viney has gone in for surgery?

This is seriously a concern. Usually no injury news is BAD news!!!

Apparently it's a specific surgery relating to the Plantar Fascitis muscle where they actually cut the tendon to help it repair.

Apparently if it doesn't fully tear, it can just continue to be painful and not heal properly.

They just showed the team training on 9 news and Frost was moving fine.

As was Jack Watts last week. I actually think, and hope, he will play. All I am saying is that if he experienced hamstring tightness during the game but continued that is a different story from cooling down afterwards or a day or two later. From bitter experience, I have played out games with tightness, feeling OK,not great early in the week and pushing to hard in the next game.Having said that, trust our conditioning and fitness staff to make the right call. Still think there is some doubt.

Just trying to cheer up the place. Frost was with main group, bending down, touching grass and getting back up like a spring chicken from the snipet they showed. Can ill afford to lose more run.

Very true mate! We just have to scrape through the next few games with wins and get some soldiers back. The bye at the end of year may do us a favour like the dogs last year

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
