Starting to understand how poorly Pedo was treated by not being selected for many games.

At least now the FD knows he is in our best 22.

Cost us 2 wins minimum !

Best win of the year.  Most complete performance we have had in a long time and it was so good to watch.

We beat the Dogs up at their own game and made them look second rate.  We are physical, our pressure is unbelievable and we can beat ANYONE in the competition.

If you can find a negative out of that then you are looking in the wrong place.  Everyone played their role and everyone gave something positive.

And great psyche out from Tommy Bugg.  The boy knew what he was doing!

Agree we can beat anyone on our day Wise, and yes we came to play today.

Wayne Bennett (very successful rugby league coach for those that don't know) was the master of finding negatives in great wins and the positives in defeat.

My negative would be, and this has been the case all year, and that is too many occasions when we tackle the opponent they are still able to get a handball away. This seems to run through the majority of the side, it may not of cost us today but it's an area that I believe needs addressing. Group tackles are different and something we also do a lot off.

I would add there were a lot of smothers in the 1st qtr which was great to see and really set the tone for the day.

Agreed but too stoked to care . Just glad hes there now. Selection is bloody is tough. So many screamed for O macs head and look at him now. 20/20 Hindsight is a luxury the Fd dont have I suppose.

Great team effort, but don't underrate the importance of Mitch Hannan

I agree DS, he looks dangerous anytime he is near the ball. He is fast becoming the missing ingredient in our forward line. I am so excited to see how we look with him there with Hoges and Pedo. Trac will have to spend more time in the midfield to make room... I'm okay with that.

I don't know how we change this. The boys are playing great footy, we had just come off memorable win against the Pies, only game in town. Seriously the fans who could've gone but chose not to need the same rocket up their butts that Pederson got (it's clearly worked for him).

Bugg was lucky we won after his taunts and great to see him kick straight for once after his lucky free kick.

Bugg needs to work on his Stevie J routine.

Luck had nothing to do with it, he was a worthy contributor in our dominance over the dogs. Talk the talk if you can walk the walk.

Salem - I honestly think he is the most underrated player at the club. Many think he is decent, but I rate him higher than that.

Neville Jetta says hello. Mind you, it's the rest of the comp who underrates Nev.

The Herald Sun footy writers who keep writing rubbish about Kelly versus Tyson, Salem and Hunt certainly underrate Salem.

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
