Brad Johnson is the WORST commentator I have EVER heard and that is saying something.

He is just a glorified dogs supportor and it's discraceful to listen too.

Even one of his fellow commentators said "settle down Jono".

PATHETIC.

That was Huddo of all people, and he seems to be a closet dogs supporter, so that's how bad Johno is being, lol

Brad Johnson being horribly biased as well.

When your co-commentator tells you to calm down you know it's not good. The producers really should consider the allegiances before deciding what games they do.

Brad Johnson sounded like a whingeing fan for the last 10 minutes of that quarter, was embarrassing. Why do they insist on putting horribly biased commentators on. Dogs had a bit of a comeback there, but still made them work hard for it. Need to keep up that pressure.

ITS MADE THE AGE. Slow news day

Western Bulldogs players tried to rough up Melbourne stopper Tomas Bugg after the Demons posted an inflammatory post on Instagram ahead of Sunday's match at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Bugg was pictured with fellow Demon Jack Watts with a caption reading "You ready @jasonjohannisen?"

That was a reference to Bulldogs dasher Jason Johannisen, who was targeted last round by Sydney, and had his influence curbed.

The Dogs didn't take too kindly to the post either, attacking Bugg at the first bounce. Later in the opening quarter Watts and Johannisen wrestled away from the play.
Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin was asked about Bugg's post pre-game.

"Obviously there's banter, and a lot of players from opposition clubs are close friends these days," Goodwin told 3AW.

"(But) you still want to mould them into respectful, humble young men.

"That's ultimately what we've got a responsibility to do."

The match started badly for the Bulldogs, who conceded four goals to nil in the first quarter, and lost midfielder Lin Jong to a suspected serious knee injury.

We need to bring this intensity out in the second half.

Obviously you guys are loving Bugg, but that was pathetic. Blind sides Easton Wood, then goes down far to easy for a free shot at goal.

Guess you can say it's smart play, but I don't think anyone wants that sort of behaviour or play rewarded with a goal.

But other than that, you guys are all over them and will win this.

Doggies in real strife in missing out on the finals

Jack Watts has 4 tackles to half time.
Did anyone notice the earth shift off its axis?

Jake Stringer has psycho eyes.

One word always pops into my head when I see him play, and I don't know why.... "Frankston"

I'm loving Bugg based on last week. But I agree. Wouldn't put it beyond Goody to drop him based on some of this weeks antics. Gotta be careful with the me me me stuff.

We've played a great half so far, even if we've had help.

Still, wary about THAT quarter that has happened every game this year. Long way to go.

Bernie Vince is a liability down back.

Yeah I got him into my supercoach the other week. I can confirm that these performances are becoming common. Part of me does believe he will turn it around, but I have been wrong before. As each week passes I am resigning to the fact that I may have gotten this one wrong.

We've got the bye, so that makes it kinda hard.

Sorry you don't want my honest input.

How good is to see our boys flinging the Bulldogs around like rag dolls? Jetta giving better than he got to Stringer, all the boys stepping in, and the "s--t I love this stuff" smile on Oliver's face!!! The Bullies are throwing everything at us and apart from a couple of soft ones over the back we are standing tall. Loving it.

And I am a fan of Bulldogs 2016, but their deliberate ducking into oncoming traffic is getting me riled.

A bit more composure kicking inside 50 and we will tear it apart.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
