The only true context of today is we won...just..There was NOT a lot in it.

I'm more than happy that we did....of course but ...was a coin toss really.

My favorite moment of the year.

Watts last goal, arms open, half arrogant look on his face.

Magic.

Wasn't it great!...almost worth 8 years of waiting !!

even better with a foul mouthed Collingwood parent/moron behind me sledging him earlier as being a wasted #1 pick... I enjoyed yelling '#1' at him after he iced the game!

Hahahahaha, was waiting for the negative on Tyson. He was the ONLY mid making any difference at all in the first half and was very good in the second half. Yes a couple of his kicks didn't end up where hoped but they were quick kicks out of congestion. Glad to see you didn't disappoint with your bias on him!

FWIW Tyson is currently 6th in the league for clangers, behind:

1. Fyfe 60

2. T Mitchell 56

3. (Equal) D Martin, Zorko 53

5. Dangerfield 52

6. Our man 48

...make of that what you will

"Melksham - some important touches"

He had 10 disposals at 40% DE.

Stats aren't the be all and end all, but cmon, he was crap today.

did a rather good tagging job in pendles and kicked a clutch goal. showed flexibility by moving forward too. by no means poor. average but not poor

Thought Bugg was clearly ahead of Harmes today. He will have a 4-5 goal game soon. Continually gets to the right spots, and while he doesn't have the class of some others, he makes up for it with his workrate. Definitely don't think he is a long term option, but have him above Harmes/Kent/JKH at the moment.

his mongrel, pressure, arial prowess, 2 way fitness and shots on goal (albeit wasteful) keeps him ahead of ANB, stretch and harmes next week fo shizzle

Not many arguments from me. It was a thrilling win but we never really got out of first gear. Definitely not one of our best performances. Still too many blokes butchering kicks

Sometimes it is important to win ugly. Something we have not been good at. We are getting it done. Celebrate guys - enjoy it. We are progressing nicely, and have two of our key players back in the next two weeks.

Are they still doing that? I had some moron sitting next to me yelling that out all game one QB. I just kept saying 'Josh Fraser'

I thought he was going to punch me by the end of the game, but I can handle myself and I guess he saw that.

So sweet seeing Jack ice the cake. I hope my moron mate from long ago choked on his methadone watching that.

I make of that that inside mids get lots of clangers because they work under extreme pressure and lots of the time their work doesn't come off. Tyson for some reason isn't allowed the same mistakes other mids are.

Anyone saying Bugg was poor today, wow...

I thought Bugg was poor today. There. I've said it. And I didn't think Hannan was as good as others seem to think, either. However, I think Hannan has the right skill set. He just needs to get the experience of AFL-paced rather than VFL-paced football to become a potentially seriously good player.

Hannan - pole-axed Dunn nicely

Personally this was my second favourite moment of the game, behind Jack Watts sealer. Would have been number 1 if it was anyone else but Dunny. Was great to see him just going full on at it. His confidence is growing.

This just proves what others have been saying about him getting into the right position at the right time. He was also burnt twice that I saw during the game so could have ended with 4. I think in the same way that some earlier this year were calling for Hannan to go back to the VFL but then he came good, Bugg looks like he is close to having a breakout game. I'd hate for him to be in the VFL when that happens.

IMO a major difference with JW now is he goes for those shots, a couple of years ago he would have past that off to Jones.

Now he has the confidence / arrogance to go for the shots.

the best teams have a number of players with confidence in their own ability.

Petracca has it as well.

I disgaree. His woeful kicking is a liability, not a big pressure guy either. JKH or Kent would offer more. Bernie is doing the niggle job he could possibly do.

Wow, you want pressure and ask for Kent? Seriously?

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
