Looking forward to getting back to the G, a ground we've surprisingly struggled at this year. Obviously, the mindset is key, can't fall asleep for entire quarters. I can only hope we gained so much belief from last weeks mid second term fightback that we no longer freeze when the opposition gets a run of goals within a quarter.

Mental fortitude aside, I think the tale of this contest will be negating North's tall forwards (don't give Brown or Waite a sniff), requiring manic pressure in the midfield to deny North quality entries and setting up well behind the ball. Our flexibility with key tall players last week was very encouraging and having such great readers of the play like Hibberd and Lewis is a luxury.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this game. Given our recent efforts at the G, I believe this game is more season-defining than last week, we will show whether or not we handle expectation and can play consistently week to week. If we are strongly challenged by North, which I expect we will be, we simply must find a way to win, no more excuses, no more fadeouts. If things go the way of the Hawks/Freo contests and we don't come out on top we simply don't deserve to be respected as a top 8 side.

DEES by 13pts.

About 2/3 of that team turned over in 4 years. And only about 5 of them could be said to be regulars now.

A few of those 5 regulars are pretty handy though (particularly thinking of Gawn, T Mac, Jones, Viney and Watts).  Does go to show how how long it takes to develop a good side.

So nervous... puke flavoured cocoa pops

Ewwwww, too much information.

I'm just sick of waiting around all weekend for the game.  Hate these late Sunday afternoon games, give me a Friday night or traditional Saturday afternoon game time any day.

BTW, I'm just checking Demonland  right now while I'm taking a dump.

Yes like one of those misfiring North Korean ones...

Hahaha. He didn't even misfire

recruiting a midfielder with 2 shot hips will give you that.

My hips are not great either, so pace was never my best attribute!!

As a reluctant armchair expert

Brown to kick 5

Waite to kick 3.5

but no other contributors

Our midfield to dominate in close and on the spread

CP5 to also kick 5

Oliver to jag 3 +38 possesions

Melbourne to win by 5 goals

Brad to have a sook...

Wasn't his fault, it was ours for taking him.

Well yes, considering who we should have taken is borderline elite.

The truth will surface at some stage

I'm actually really concerned about their talls. More than I was about Adelaide's. Brown, Waite can go on a real tear.

Gonna be at the game today with my Brother and 2 of our mates, sitting in the reserve seating among the other players and coaches. Hopefully the boys can follow up on last weeks performance and continue what Casey started last night! Carn the Dee's!

Time to take a stand against the roos. Time and time again we get done by this mob.

Never a better time to end that streak. Perfect day for a win. Cmon dees. Please move the ball at the same speed and accuracy as last week. We do, we win!

Why are we inconsistent?

"Because we are a young, developing side."

What is it that makes us a young, developing side?

"We are inconsistent."

I'm really hoping this week we can make another little bit of progress towards not being a young developing side anymore.

No changes for either side. Jayden plays.

Amazing. Hunt was out cold before he hit the ground last week.

I hope that the right decision has been made

The club has handled concussions well in the past (see Jetta). I'll back them to make the right call.

Think the jury is still out on concussion long term affects. Doctors dont know much. In the end i reckon it would be Jaydens call

Fire and and get the job done Dees. Time to end this losing streak against the Kangas. They're a rubbish team, dominate them as such and claim the 4 points.

Well have to say I'm feeling very positive.

Waking up to the news that the tiggers got nutted again cheered me immensely. Possibly even better than a Sunday morning naughty.

I shall be heading in shortly on the Scumbury line. That area is far too upmarket for tigger supporters so I'm expecting a pleasant journey.

And who says you can't have both??

Expecting a win today, which I don't often do.

Got some serious MFCSS issues to get over, but a win today would go a long way towards that. Can't let this opportunity go to grab some valuable ladder rung spots.

Must make a good, fast start this week - and hit the scoreboard in a meaningful way.
