From making NO decisions for weeks on end, the clowns start plucking them from everywhere - this continues to be a serious blight on our great game! No accountability for the clowns.

Weird  - no wind yet definite scoring end.

Everyone will claim that this is a wonderful fightback from the Cats, even though they've been given a heap of dodgy free kicks and simply benefited from it.  Makes you want to spew.

How dumb is Cloke. Abuses the umpire and gives Selwood a free shot at goal. It kick starts there quarter.

What has annoyed me about holding the ball this year is when a player gets a fist on it the ump calls holding the ball but when a player is tackled and doesnt get a boot on it they let it go. Then Murph gets a dodgy free kick against him when he did get a boot to it.

See selwood still gets his high free kicks.

I'm completely bamboozled by the dropping of the ball rule while being tackled. Is it just not being paid anymore?

Clown 22 is new, but 30 and 29 have been running around for years, imposing themselves, spoiling great games. One thing is sure however, there will be no comment from the AFL - and 22, 29 and 30 will be running around again next week. (29 was the clown who gifted Roughead the critical free and goal that iced the game against us two weeks ago.)

Really? It's not complicated.

Well no it's not. But the umpires have a hard time applying it.

Dangerwood were enormous. Hawkins looks heaps fitter, Taylor was great up forward, Duncan was top notch, Tuohy, Lonergan and Mackie very good in the backline.

When Cats turn up they are still a very, very good side.

Dogs are playing patchy footy.

That's all that matters.  They both had huge last quarters, but without them the Cats are distinctly average and they play fair weather footy.

Geelong are easily bottom 6 without Dangerfield and Selwood, possibly even lower. It'll be good when Hawkins, Selwood and Dangerfield retire in a couple of years. They'll be hopeless. Their kids coming through would have to be the weakest in the league.

Dogs footy relies on rugby scrum like pressure

Nothing against the Dogs but I would hate to see it become the norm

If that is a non-rhetorical question, it should have a ? after it, so I must therefore assume it is a statement of the obvious.

Unless you are Murphy (at Kardinia Park) and actually kick it.

Isn't umpiring an impartial type profession?

Nope. Huge home ground advantage at all the non MCG / Doglands venues.

Dogs have got their premiership, they can wait another 50+ years for another one!

I haven't watched a single minute of this game but sounds to me like Geelong are ticking along without really showing much to terrify the competition. I wish we were playing them again this year, maybe we will!

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
