The VFL Demons are on the road for the third week in succession. This time, they travel to Preston to face the Northern Blues. With two more players unavailable as a result of last week's game v Werribee (Melksham suspended, Maynard concussed), it will be a tough ask to beat a top four team.

assume Munro  Hillard  Fritsch  Ferreira plus VDH on Casey bench.

development team oversubscribed even with 10 MFC players unavailable.

think Stretch goes to Adelaide as emergency this week so Ed Morris should keep his spot in MFC Casey firsts

With the game on Sunday I wouldn't be suprised to see that the carry over emergency makes it back to play on Sunday.

We have done that in the past - I even remember two players getting a red eye back from Perth and playing on the Sunday! Coming back from Adelaide much more manageable.

who are they ? which ones ?

Lamb, Jakcsh, Sumner, Pickett and Phillips, plus they've got Gorringe, Kerridge and Jones in the team as well. There also missing Palmer and Smedts who aren't in the Carlton team this week. Not to mention 6 from other clubs in the 1sts. (16 total)

In comparison from other clubs, we've got Kennedy playing and only Milkshake and McKenna missing. While in the 1st we so have 7, but if you're going to go get players from other clubs you want them playing a role for you. (9 total)

Nothing like developing your own.

Just hearing that he is ok, i was standing next to his Mum by chance.  Brendan McCarthy came out and said that they are giving him the full 20 mins but he is ok.

His poor mum is v upset.

What the actual feck? How did he get the head knock?

Disastrous news. Poor kid and poor parents to have to experience this over and over again.

What do we do with him now I have no idea.

Ok, may be a concussion. All seems to be a bit border line. From what i can tell he won't be coming back.  Wait and see

[censored]! There has to be serious doubts on his career now unfortunately

Devastating news for Angus, just can't take a trick.

Depending on the outcome the club should consider putting him on ice for the rest of the year.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
