Couple of 65 metre long goals from Bernard in Late Sepember at The MCG would be really nice

Against The Camry Crows would be even better.

This Saturday night i am sure he will give himself a very important task in the midfield guts

Bernie and Goody were the only two Crows players I liked, amazing that they both ended up at Melbourne, how could you not like Bernie.

A big congrats to Bernie on his 208th career game. Hope the club sees fit to relax the drinking restrictions so the boys can have a small celebration.

Only when he was at Melbourne, I didn't like him when he kicked 6 goals against us every time we played the Crows.

Anthony Ingerson still the MFC's best Crows import - Bernie not too far behind now, although for different reasons. Ingo was more a missing puzzle piece, Bernie more the first edge piece of an otherwise blank puzzle.

I'm very appreciative of Bernie's efforts during the Roos rebuild, and really hope he can make it to 100 MFC games and the associated life membership.

I always liked him for some reason which is unusual cause I hate most players that aren't in red and blue.

If this were Blankety-Blanks I'd have a few choice adjectives for the type of puzzle Neeld and co. left behind. Though they'd probably be blanked out by the censor.

Love this. Ingo was the best.

I heard Goody talking on the weekend about players staying on for an extra year at a club at the tail end of their careers as long as they provided leadership to the playing group and were prepared to play at VFL level if their form warranted it. I think this will apply to Bernard in 2018.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
