Good luck.

May Geelong fans keep saying "who the [censored] is this guy?'

No I doubt that Spencer will be playing unless a shock desicion comes in that Weid or Big Max is dropped......I think Jake will get his chance later on in the season though

I'm a big Pedo fan but you'd have to say he won't feature much in Goody's plans and seems to only be on the list to make up numbers and for depth. It's a shame because I think he can play. He's not a champion but he's certainly not a dud.

It's a long season

Most commonly uttered phrase in the Casey game threads (and I presume in the crowd too) the last few years

"This guy should be playing AFL:".   And every time I watched him play I said the exact same thing.

Give them hell Bull.

Well we know that he will crash packs and won't be thrown around.

Will probably put them through the big sticks if he gets the chance as well.

He also tackles to hurt.

Seems like a sensible and low risk selection with a fair bit of upside.

With Hogan and Vandenberg out, Smith's number's come up earlier than most would have anticipated, would love him to grab the opportunity with both hands.

Out of curiosity, and this is a bit presumptuous, but if he has two big games, how would this impact match selection? Would it be better to play Wiedemann predominantly in the VFL for one more year or alternate both of them?

If he plays really well, I think it's Vandenberg's spot in the team that is in doubt.

That obviously depends on how Weideman goes amongst about another gazillion variables. I think the short answer is that if he has two big games they will find a way to keep him in.

Putting the cart before the horse a bit though!

He looks like an absolute tank in that video. Can't wait to see how he goes now.

Thought that was fantastic to see his joy at the news.

Go get em Bull.

4 games in 1975, apparently. You must have the memory of an elephant.

Kim Smithh was a lean but very good forward. With his long hair and goal kicking prowess was a cult hero at Prahran.

That's what it's all about! Turning dreams into reality. The big Bull can seriously give out a bruise or two! Well deserved mate.

All class from Trengove.  Even as he watches his own dreams evaporate he still finds the time and integrity to encourage teammates.

Just love Trengrove...so said that injuries have cruelled his career.

Goodwin has shown his hand.

He will keep playing Oscar and Weed as long as they keep following instructions. Only way they'll be dropped is if they don't follow team rules or lose fitness or form so egregiously there is no alternative but to drop them. Get games into them.

Joel Smith. Same deal.

Tim Smith. Same deal, at least until Hogan is back in. Get games into them, find out what they can do.

Pedo, Trenners, can get ready for a long season at Casey, and silently pray for a killer run of injuries.

It will make it interesting if Tim finds his feet in the team over the next couple of weeks and kicks 3 or 4 in each game. Hogan is available and then we have to work out how to accommodate all the riches.

Good luck Tim and give it a real shot.

YES BULL!!!!! So glad to see the big man get his shot this early in the season! The amount of hard work he has put in over the last 5-6 years has really paid off for him. Really happy for Tim.

Really happy for the Casey guys getting into the AFL, shows what a great partnership it is.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
