Hogan will get 2 weeks, maybe 3.  That was really silly stuff and the MRP will make an example of it.

Lewis has nothing to worry about, surely.

There is no chance in the world he will get 3 weeks, what incident were you watching.  2 down to 1 at worst

Are everyone watching a different video clip to me on the Lewis hit, I can't see him do anything cripps only goes down when viney bumps him from behind, if you can't see any hit how can you make a call on it, hogan on the other hand if they offer a week we'll just take it and move on

Is it that hit or the one Cripps afterwards while on the deck? I only saw it live yesterday but I thought Cripps copped another hit after Lewis got pushed onto him.

I have no idea I'm just going by the video of n afl website that says is lewis in trouble for this hit, problem is I can't see him do anything, looks like he is being singled out because he has a bad record so he must have hit him

I'm with you. I think Lewis will get off - insufficient force. Hogan will probably get a week (intentional, high, low impact). He could get off also if the Carlton docs give a nice favourable medical report. It seems that injury to the player is the biggest determinant of the MRPs decision-making - and luckily for these two it looked like they did little damage

Both should go. Hogan for 1, Lewis for 2 due to his record.

Both boys very silly and I hope it does not cost us the game against Geelong. it certainly won't help having them both out

Hogan: 2 with an early plea. Quote: The incident was classified as a three-match sanction.

Lewis: 4 down to 3 (includes a one week carryover penalty).  Quote: The incident was classified as a three-match sanction. The player has an applicable bad record which impacts the penalty, increasing it by one match to a four-match sanction. An early plea enables the player to accept a three-match sanction.

Absolutely ridiculous.  This is a repeat of the Trengove on Dangerfield tackle.  Melbourne being made an example of.

Club should appeal!!

Yea club should appeal Lewis, i thought lewis went for shoulder and it hit and skipped up into face. so a 3 week suspension for hitting someones shoulder (would be my appeal).

Just on SEN - Hogan 2 match ban (can accept down to 1 I think) and Lewis 3 match ban, no reduction due to record... WTF.

Just dumb.

If it was our boys on the receiving end we would be beying for blood.

Could be costly

No chance we appeal, no clubs do anymore.. The AFL has made it so you have to accept their rubbish. Facial you can't plead your case without the risk of further weeks

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
