Looks like Jones might have a serious leg injury.

Gee the Dorks are great at inflicting damage, buddy has a corky, Jones stuffed, Hodge has already slammed was it Mills into the deck? Why can't teams give some back?

Round 17 already, the season is flying, unless you're Fremantle.

In tonight's game, Bruce is attempting to set a world record in mentioning Rioli's name as many times as possible, although he hasn't had a possession. He did mention Rioli looks "interested" so I suppose that counts for someone.

Rohan kicked a nice goal for the Swans and Bruce felt the need to drop Rioli's name again stating "There's a bit of Rioli in Rohan." You could hear the jealously in his voice.

Its a 50/50 game at the moment, I'm not sure why but Pannell was a late our for the Hawks.

Yep its anther rioli love fest. Ump not rewarding frees to swans

What horrible commentary.

BT almost let slip "we need 2 goals to win" and always stating the bleeding ibvious - Swans 6 points up then kick a behind 'now 7 points down'.

Those 2 goals from 50m very helpful Hawks

Might as well engrave the cup now.

Is there a special Hawthorn holding rule?

Not sure, but there is a special Hawthorn how far you can run with the ball without bouncing.....think its about 25m...

How many games is that now the Hawks have won under 10 points, I think that's 5 now loose all those and they would be outside the 8, rioli kicks a 55 meter goal for the win he has never kicked that far in his life, how the hell does this club keep winning, gives me the shits

Hawthorn will win the premiership again this year and I can't stand it.

I reckon that's the minor premiership for Hawthorn too. 6 games left, they're already 2 clear on top and they have Richmond, Carlton, us and Collingwood to come. Not sure they'll lose any of them, which would mean they'd have to lose the last two (North and West Coast) and someone has to win out over the last 6.

How disgusting.

Hawthorn and the umpires both need investigating

Michael Jordan used to get a VERY favourable ride from referees. He'd just look at them and they'd call a foul.

Sort of like Hawthorn. Everyone loves a winner, including the umpires.

But if I have to hear Bruce and BT commentate one more Hawthorn game, I'll spew.

I hope some bikie gang kneecaps every single Hawthorn player as they get off the team bus at the airport.

That's four wins for them under 10 points.

For Sydney, it's four losses by 10 points or less. They have a clear issue with winning the close ones, the last three (Richmond, WB, Hawthorn) they've had 2+ goal leads late and blown all of them.

As much as it makes me sick I agree.

They just have to many guys who are match winners and can't be stopped. Also, to have Hodge and Burgoyne just picking off easy touches on the flanks and then go in the guts when need be just shows the ridiculous amount of talent there team has.

They aren't even playing there best footy still imo and are sitting two games clear. Pricks

Hope you're happy AFL, you dumb [censored]! Your stupid expansion project, which has completely ruined all other clubs of young talent they desperately needed  to rebuild lists (which now play out their AFL existence in the NEAFL) has granted Hawthorn the magical ability to stay at the top of the ladder for half a decade without challenge.

Just imagine if the entire lists of GWS and Gold Coast had been divided amongst the clubs who so desperately needed it, instead of having compromised draft after compromised draft, still continuing this year with farcical amounts of first round picks to GWS, none of which they even need with the shape of their list.

But thank Christ those 338 GWS members have satisfied those expansion urges!

I think it's going to be us...maybe we could finish a few of them off pre finals.

That sick-in-the guts feeling of this year sadly being the "Fourthorn" is starting  to feel like "Fivethorn" in 2017.

If that eventuates, it will most certainly be time to 'put the cue in the rack' and start following NRL.........

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
