Our defence can't work the zone at all. Garland and McDonald are one on one players and they now can't do that. Like someone else here said, I used to like garland but he is done now.

That has disaster written all over it. Thank goodness for Clarry.

Surely Viv Michie has played his last game in the Red & Blue. 3 qrts of football and not one contested possession.

I'm sick of that bloke getting second chances.

ia there any chance we can not drop a mark, not fumble, not handball to a stationary manned player and kick a [censored] goal

geez this is a very very frustrating game

He could be tagging someone. But, yes, ANB has earned his call up.

I think he has. Couple of young blokes have been plum average. Above all, ANB is a smart player. We have lacked that today.

Campbell leading Gawn a merry dance. Hasn't been his day today Gawn, he talks of trying to become the #1 ruckman, let's see if he wants to dig deep, even when it's not his day

Oh and watts hasn't done anything for a month and Garland should never have been brought back.  At least Dunn has a crack.

Chocolate to boiled lollies for Harmes today. He's been very ordinary today. Not alone unfortuanately. They've schooled us in tackling pressure today.

Not playing bad but playing right into them. Zone defense is something they are thriving on. They smash us around stoppages so we should try and run them into the ground. Sometimes too unselfish and over using the ball. Their defense is causing hesitation so we play on but have nowhere to go.

Imo unleash the shackles and try to outrun them this quarter. Worth a shot

Smashing us around the contested ball.

They duck and we are too dumb to tackle properly.

The AFL  has clearly instructed the broadcasters to not highlight contentious decisions, as they have refused to replay any of the ducking frees or the throws.

It is pretty obvious in the broadcast.

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

Thankfully, the offseason has recharged me, and I’m back—ready t
