Seriously think these guys could become our Brereton and Dunstall over the next half dozen years. Both are quick, very strong marks, have such sublime skills and smart footy brains. That Hogan pass to Jones in Q4 was just so smart because he saw him on the far flank then faked like he was going to kick to watts which pulled the defenders away from Jones. The way the game is moving with the interchange cap really suits them both too as they are likely to get more space to work in.

They are becoming a really exciting 1-2 act and if the weed comes on like we hope our tall forward line could be the envy of the competition soon.

What i really liked about today was Hogan clearly didn't feel he had to carry the scoring of the team, even with Garlett out, so he got up the ground and made a huge impact around the ground and Watts was dominant deep, some weeks it'll be the other way around and Hogan will get on the end of a few but it's fantastic how well they're working together!

They have each kicked 9 goals in 4 games, and have a great dynamic.  Its very exciting.

Watts was good today. His form gives other teams something to think about when playing us. We aren't so reliant on Hogan this season which is helping us up forward.

I always thought Watts would come good, but in the end, I think it was more hope. The sky is the limit for Jack. He was an exceptional junior, and as an elite AFL player he holds a lot of advantages over most players. He is very poised, great skills, calm head, elite execution. Not many weaknesses. Good on him, he deserves it.

I've gotten stuck into Watts over the years as many on here would know. His game is now complete, on top of elite disposal and his reading of the play he now attacks the contest. If not for the dropped chest mark he would of had 5. I'm genuinely bloody pumped for him.

Good call BA....tbh, he's exceeded my expectations where he's even crashing packs now!

If I was Daws I would be worried about being delisted next year.

When does his contract end?

Rumours of Dawes' demise have been grossly exaggerated. If he's fully fit, he will be one of the first names on the team sheet.

Watts and Hogan are fantastic.

Just wait until Petracca comes along and Garlett is back.

We are going to have a forward line with potency. Schwartz and Lyon, Neitz and Farmer.

Its going to be a winning scoreline

Kent Hogan Garlett and Watts is a strong forward line. Pderson was good today but Id prefer someone more dynamic. A second ruck would be perfect. Great if Gawn could spend more time forward.

Nope, this year. Signed a 4 year deal during Neeld's reign of terror

I think that Mark Neeld's final press conference should have opened with Peter Jackson announcing that 'Mark Neeld's reign over terror is over!' Superintendent Chalmers style.

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
