Look I must admit I really wondered about his inclusion several weeks ago but today I thought he was very very good, Could be a Josh Gibson type!

Well done young man! Happy to admit an error of early judgement!^_^

I would kill for such discipline.  I would be wealthy.  I'd have a body like Usain Bolt (a white one).  And I wouldn't frighten my little children when I watch Melbourne.  Hats off to ya Rusty.

I'm also not getting any younger Pink and was also extremely nervous so recording it helped me turn down the tension a little lol. This was win or die for this club IMO today. Thankfully the former!

Some useless stats for anyone interested....

We had 18 players with under 100 games today. Pies had 12. They had 10 with 100 or more...we only had 4. Doing ok. Next trade i would be topping up with some solid more experienced players if they fit the mix and have serious talent.

"First quarter and a half was some of the worst footy I've seen us play and we were on track for a 3 figure thumping.

To our credit our effort improved and we showed good fight. Our skills around the ground and at goal hurt though (8 goals 11 to 10 goals 4 after quarter time) and we were too stagnant.

If Melbourne supporters are happy and pumping themselves up after that then they're kidding themselves and will never be anything other than a bottom 4 side. Had we turned up for 4 quarters it's a different game and probably a different result."

It's a river in Egypt.

I was at the game with a bunch of Collingwood supporters. What a fantastic feeling - nothing like beating the Pies.

I hope you had a long shower and Dee-scrub when you got home Jane. Those Collingwood supporters can carry filthy diseases.

If the Pies only have 1 or 2 wins and drop that game as well, Bucks being the first coach to go is actually a distinct possibility.

Eddie will hang on to him for as long as humanly possible.

To sack Buckley will be to admit to a blunder in forcing Malthouse out.

I don't think it was a blunder forcing Malthouse Out , Carltank supporters will back me up with that  ascertion!

Frost was good today but would be good if u could take a bloody mark consistently.

It wasn't that long ago that one Max Gawn was in and out of the side, lacked confidence and had butter sticks for fingers.  Last year a switch finally flicked during the Geelong game and he's clunked them ever since.

I sincerely believe that Frost's hands will get stickier, and his kicks will get straighter as his confidence improves.  There was already a notable improvement between the first half and the second half today.  He's got all the required attributes, he just hasn't been able to stitch it all together yet - purely due to confidence I think.

In Q2 a C'wood player was paid a mark (probably correctly) which I thought came to ground closer to their goal than the point at which he was paid the mark. He picked up the goal and the umpire called play on as he ran into goal.  Surely he should have been forced to play from behind the mark?  Or did I see it wrongly?

Agree, Sue, but the umpire might have been murdered by Collingwood supporters if he'd called that back.

He dropped at least four, possibly more.

He also took five though and at least a couple were contested. He can certainly tidy up his game, but I've seen him do worse with those hands.

Just to finish a very nice day I see the pies will be fined for the late inclusion of White.

Oh the day just gets better and better.

And wasn't he just worth it? :P

Clinical today. Pies are a bottom four side on current evidence.

Backline held together. Forward line functioned well. Midfield carried on from last week with slick hands, good decisons (generally) and ferocious defence.

Frost easily his best game in the jumper. He and Pedo can play in the same team apparently :)

Now to tick off two in a row. I'll be making the trip down to watch it happen. Hopefully.

Did he look tired,  or were they paying him Extra attention?

He didn't look tired, but I suspect they're still managing his minutes. Does anyone know what percentage of game time he played today?

The lid is off.

They could have rattled us a number of times, but we really stuck it out and it was fantastic to see. From memory, they didn't get closer than about 20 points and, each time they looked likely, we pushed back really hard.

I'm waiting for next week. As much as today's win was huge on a number of levels I want us to end Hardwicks career.

I think some need to man up and give Paul Roos an apology. After the Essendon game many wanted him gone and replaced with Goodwin.

At the end of the day Roosy is still the top dog. Forget about Goodwin for now. We know what we'll get from him in the future.

Time to kill off any ounce of confidence the tigers may have next week.

I'll put my hand up for that.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
