Is Dank / Saty the real Keyser Soze?

Kevin Spacey on a scooter. Is there an image of that out there on the Internet?

Move on Barrett... you are fu#$en pond scum parasite.

Demons already cleared by ASADA

Comparing Barrett to pondscum is a little harsh. Pondscum, also known as 'microalgae' is used to make vitamins, proteins and some dyes.

Barrett on the other hand, serves zero purpose.

Not true. Barrett, like all humans exhales CO2, which is very important for growth in plants. Unfortunately though what Purple coughs out appears to be laced with quite an unusually high volume of CH4

He has a new show coming out called "Felch Warbler Confidential".

Tells you how he extracts his information.

Unfortunately, Dank was involved at many clubs, and I'm sure there would be a few club chiefs sweating on what this erratic nutcase is going to say next.

And it serves clubs right for getting involved with such a piece of work, potentially including us.

Correct.

I would consider Geelong whilst under Thompson, whom had Dean Robinson as his fitness boss would have more to be concerned about than Melbourne.

Hang on, didn't those two work together at Essendon, too?

On the bright side, if Dank coughs up and puts us in the [censored] we wont be missing too many players as there arent many left. On the downside if he does dump us in it and it is team wide then from memory the players are Jones, Gawn, Watts, Dunn, McDonald, Garland, Dawes?,  and Frawley and Clarke at other clubs. That would be the end of any winning we may do.

On the plus side again, if we have records as we apparently do, and the players didn't sign any forms agreeing to be injected with banned drugs, then we are in a much stronger position than the Dons were. We also got cleared by ASADA so that gives me some confidence.

Wonder if Ess would be interested in merging with us and becoming the Melbourne Demons.

Just watched the AFL wrap with Lloyd and Barratt. Lloyd is barely literate and, guess what, mention of Melbourne's win against the E Coli Wobblers was NIL

Surely not.

I can think of very few alternative punching bags that would motivate me to throw some haymakers. Barrett has a massive future in marketing fitness equipment shaped like his head.

Well, maybe Joe Daniher.

I think it was Barrett, or maybe King, who slammed us in the Kelly for Tyson and Salem deal, saying we had traded away a Brownlow medallist.

I know it is only one game, but stats for Kelly in a 15 goal win, were 17 disposals and 1 goal with 5 tackles, while Tyson in a 6 goal win was 24 disposals, 2 goals and 6 tackles and Salem 20 disposals and 5 tackles.

Seems we are doing well out of that trade so far.

BTW, Kelly doesn't look like a Brownlow medallist to me, on the games I have seen him play, both against us and other teams.

As Taylor Swift sings, "Haters gonna Hate".

It was Barrett, and he then admitted he had never even seen Tyson play.

Kelly has never overly impressed me despite huge wraps on him. He is a nice player, like a Whitfield, but I don't see much more than that though.

He also seems very slight. Certainly has talent.

I was astounded by that. Not just because we didnt get any airtime but because Collingwood are in a crises....and that ALWAYS gets airtime. My own theory on Barrett as a North supporter is that he probably realises that the heat is going to come on at sometime for a team to relocate.  Melb/ North Melb/ StKilda are the three runts of the AFL litter and I think he wants Melb to be less relevant that the roos. I miss Lyon on the TV. He did give us a whack at times but at least I knew he would give us a plug when we deserved it.

Even if Kelly turns out to be the second coming of Jesus that  is not the point.

If a journalist wants to make a comparison between two players they should have knowledge of the two players they are comparing. To admit that he had never seen Tyson play tells me what a hack journalist he is.

Interesting thing about this story re dank and the Dees is that Neeld and Craig were in charge at the time and guess where they are now? No wonder the story has disappeared...lets hope it stays that way!

He is a hack but no journalist Nut. Does he have a degree in journalism from a reputable university? Irrespective, I see him as a football reporter whose only reason for being or relevance is to break stories. This means that guys like DB are desperate for stories and therefore proper fact finding and checking, research methods and balanced reporting go out the window. He needs stories week in week out and that's just what happens.....he provides stories for his employer that justifies his role. Basically, guys like Barrett should be ignored. It's a bit like the old Truth newspaper for those old enough to remember. Truth was a misnomer for rubbish and Barrett pedals rubbish. He has no conscience so he does not care and probably delights in the criticism and commentary around him because it feeds his ego and means that he is being noticed, something common to all egotists. The only answer to football scribes like DB and Lloyd and their negativity toward the Dees is that we keep on winning and build a record of sustained success.

That's pretty rough Daisy, hopefully, readers prefer my novels over listening to Barrett, being sozzled is beside the point. But I get your angle.

didn't mean to be rough ernest, mainly pointing out the fact he writes scribbles FICTION (i doubt whether it would have any redeeming aspects even as fiction)

sports journalism in melbourne just gets worse every year

Barrett is a FARK stick of the highest order and also an oxygen thief.

It always staggers me blokes like Barrett and Ralph continue to degrade themselves in the footy media. Listening to ex-players just take the absolute micky out of them constantly. They call Barrett "purple" to his face. Lloyd, Ox and one other were disregarded or totally debunked anything Jon Ralph was saying on Sunday radio. It was embarrassing for him. Yet they keep doing it.

The first line should apply to anyone. The second goes beyond just journalism but illustrates his poor form in any professional capacity. His full-time job is reporting on the AFL. I find it staggering that over the course of a couple years he hadn't once taken an interest in checking out a #3 draft pick.

Barrett's more fake than pro wrestling. That whole Sam vs. Purple thing on The Footy Show is just to entertain the masses and keep the $$$ rolling in.

Wouldn't mind Kelly off half back to release Salem into the middle though. ;)

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
