Eagles now showing a bit in the 3rd. Premiership quarter. Come On Eagles!

Shuey just blew any chance of a contest, oh now add Darling. Are the Dawks blessed?

Trying to decide if this years GF has been more or less entertaining then last year? Just boring. Well done to Hawthorn though.

Oh we had a 10 minute contest there in the third.

Nik Nat doing a sterling job with 0 marks to 3/4 time. Can see why he's rated so highly and escapes scrutiny!

We need to acknowledge the elephant in the room - Chip has been great.

Yep - good on him, could very well snag the Norm Smith.

Chip has played well but really the way the ball hasn't been delivered to Kennedy it doesn't surprise me.

Both of them set the seal in the first quarter: when Shuey missed what he should have hand passed and Darling with his [censored]-weak shot at goal and his turnover. Then the same pox that plagued them last week against North - inaccuracy. Game over first quarter.

West Coast fielded Sydney's 2014 Grand Final team. Fell to bits as soon as Hawthorn got on a roll. I could have suffered a Hawthorn win if there'd been a contest, but it was just another boring game of footy. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Eagles came onto the ground looking beaten. Pathetic tiny banner. Hawks spread better, much faster. Nobody manning up on Cyril in the first 2/3 of the first half. Out coached out run outclassed. Why did we even bother to have a home and away season? Will the AFL actually do something to equalize he competition?

Gee it is embarrassing now, not even circle work intensity in a Grand Final! Great showpiece for the AFL.

Every commentator, coach, official and player, in other words every vested interest in the AFL has been saying all season how even it all is, any team can beat anyone at any time. Yes but somehow we keep seeing the same team smash their opponent in the GF year after year? It must be just a coincidence.

Can't wait for the GF to be held at night, for chrissake, watching professionals stare directly into the sun while balls hit them in the face or fall at their feet is simply ridiculous for what is supposed to be the showpiece of the season.

FFFUUUCKK you AFL, for allowing this Hawthorn dynasty to develop.

Gibson, Lake and Frawley, what an incredible day for the Hawk's tall defenders.

Between them -

70 disposals at 90%+ efficiency.

30 marks including 6 contested

25 1%ers

Just one free kick given away.

Only as an afterthought have I noticed all three were traded in, quite late in the building process.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
