James Hird Sacked

Just listening to Slobbo on SEN talking about the Hird issue. This guy must be the biggest [censored] wit of all time. Comedy gold.

Claims Hird knocked back 3.5 mill to walk after the France trip. He was asked about writing Hird's book and actually took it seriously - FMD the poor [censored] is virtually illiterate!! Someone should tell him.

And here is a classic. Claims there was a "disparagement" clause in Hird's parting agreement.

He sounded drunk and like he had half a schnitzel in his mouth.

The best though;

THE WAY JAMES HIRD HAS BEEN TREATED THROUGH ALL OF THIS IS **** DISGRACEFUL AND INHUMANE

THE CLUB THAT HE LOVES AND BLEEDS HAS TREATED HIM LIKE A PIECE OF ****.

HE AS ENDURED MORE THAN ANYONE HAS HAD TO GO THROUGH,BUT STAYED TRUE BECAUSE OF HIS LOVE OF THE CLUB AND THE PLAYERS.

AND HE GETS TREATED LIKE THIS.

NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

THE ESSENDON FOOTBALL CLUB WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN.

A buit like this then?

I left a hint the other day in the Saga continues threat thread.

Trying to work out how to say it without actually saying it. Got the info from a mate and it is his mates job on the line if it is not meant to come out.

Barrett has the same relationship with the AFL that Robbo has with Hird, and it doesn't stop at providing information.

So are they [censored] or not?

I'm not sure why I was surprised, but Sam Newman's rant last night highlighted just how blind some people are.

Yes, very blind.

I honestly don't see how people have their head in the sand? It really is childs play to see that something had gone down there that shouldn't have. Even my mate that is an Essendon (Melbourne is his 2nd team so he isn't all bad) supporter can see that. He was glad that Hird had left so that this can all move forward faster, accept what has happened and penalties and move on.

Dont be surprised. Newman is a goose of the first order. There would be no one better qualified to make such a passionate ill informed ill considered rant as that. I turned that show on for two minutes and that crappp was my reward.

DUMBEST! The man speaks without so little intelligence and yet nobody seeks to hold him to account. It says something about his co-hosts Lyon and Brayshaw. Lowest common denominator anyone?

They do not have to comment Reverand.

We all know without further comment.

Also this is a TV program they are all probably very happy that he makes goose statements.

Ratings start up.

That is all that matters.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
