Awesome news KC! Love your updates and will be grateful as always to read them this weekend.

Hopefully Salem tears them apart! :)

Fantastic to see so many Melbourne listed players pulling on the Casey jumper in the back half of the season. Lots of interest in this game, esp. King, Hunt, Salem, JKH, Toump and any youngsters who may drop back from the Dees extended bench

Interesting that the Pies' match winner against us is such a good player that he's now back in their seconds.

It's being broadcast live from 1pm on Casey Radio, 3ser, 97.7fm.

Oxley was named in the best last week with 23 possessions and is just named on an extended bench. I doubt he will be dropped.

Interesting to see Paul Roos'es son Tyler is playing for Casey.

It would be interesting to see how he goes. Might be a good rookie pickup!

Not being played at Casey, 6th V 7th on the ladder and both teams have strong AFL representation. Could be a cracker of a match

or could be another rolling rugby scrum

Unless you've completed a medical degree this week and can provide detailed injury updates, I won't be reading your reports KC - last week's failure to immediately diagnose Kent's hammy tightness was a total disgrace ! ;)

No medical degree and I haven't been able to enlist a replacement with the requisite skills in the health industry, both Dr. Jack Kavorkian and Stephen Dank being unavailable.

I doubt whether Dean Kent would have played in the senior team anyway given his brief appearance in the development league last week so that's in keeping with what the club has said is its conservative treatment of players coming back from such injuries. I'm not expecting a great deal from Christian Salem either - if he plays at all.

No Kent anywhere??

He will appear in the 2016 column of the injury list shortly.

I think we can safely forget about him playing again at senior level this year.

I promise not to ask you anything remotely related to the game, players, or injuries you may have heard about Sir KC.

I think you'll find that Kavorkian is not available any time these days KC. Passed away in 2011.

Does that mean they are covering only the 2nd half? OP says 12 noon start.

Come on mate, KC doesn't have a direct line to the MFC medical staff or a medical degree himself, you can't possibly expect an answer, and frankly you're a troll for even asking.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
