What rubbish is that! Bail in the guts and Hogan on the interchange? I doubt Bail is a definite starting 18 in preference to the seven listed on the extended interchange!

Keep the opposition guessing. :roos:

I like it. We should take it a step further and drop Vince and NJones to bring in McKenzie and Terlich - they'll never see that coming

It's a Wednesday squad. Since squads aren't even released officially until Thursday evening, presumably it's just one someone completely made up. Someone who doesn't watch a heap of MFC, I'd say.

I reckon the whole 'too tall' dilemma will be solved by not selecting Hogan.

Just reckon they'll rest him another week and have him cherry ripe for our upcoming 5 game campaign at the MCG.

In- Garland

Out- Riley

Hogan is flying from Perth to Darwin to join the team. He isn't going all the way up there just to see crocodiles.

If he's ready, he's ready, if he's not, he's not.

They certainly won't be "resting" him.

The irony of someone who thinks themselves humorous missing the humor in a response about a lack of humor....

Must have missed it.

Worried about us going in too tall. It worked at the Cattery in perfect conditions, but a night game in Darwin will be played in slippery conditions that aren't conducive to taller players. Happy to back the selection committee, but if we bring in both Hogan and Garland then at least one tall player needs to make way as well.

Agree. As I have said before, those games are usually won by the good running teams.

Absolutely. I still remember the year we rolled Port up there in the dying moments after coughing up a 7-8 goal lead. We need as many runners as possible and I'm hoping we make the right changes to suit the conditions.

I would bring in Garland, Hogan and JKH and look at dropping, Bail, Spencer and Riley.

Heard Vandenberg should be back next week, though it might be at Casey.

I think I read somewhere that JKH is likely to play VFL.

I would bring in Hogan and Garland

for Spencer and Riley.

Gawn has shown he can run a game out better than he could last year. Dawes can give him a break and Howey can go 3rd man up

Nic Nat will probably win the taps anyway so Id prefer not to have 2 inefffectual rucks out there

Gawn is yet to show he can run a game out. The only full game he's had as the number 1 ruck was against the Saints and he dropped off in the last Q.

With Pedders off and unable to give him a break we used Howe and Watts a few times but a tired Gawn made a couple of crucial mistakes in that last minute.

If we drop a tall it has to be Dawes, unless he's made a resurgence as a ruckman.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
