Would the Dees look to move into Waverley to finally have the whole club in the one venue?

Posted

The HFC says it wants to leave Waverley because although the facilities were once state-of-the-art, they're now in the bottom four in the league. No thanks.

And to think we were seen as the stronger club during the merger saga

yet all things said it was they who managed to to x-nay it.

Remember that day well.

This is total garbage and mythology. The voting was rigged by excluding MFC members who had not bothered to reply to the letter and those who could not fit into the room on the night. Don't forget also that many MFC supporters are MCC members who don't bother to pay to join the MFC as well because they get in to all the MCG games and did not have a vote. Most MFC supporters and members were totally opposed to the merger. The media has presented this in another light.

Who is going to pay for this? Taxpayers, the AFL? It won't be all paid for by the Dorks I bet. Gee they need an upgrade tout sweet because they are so struggling as a team. The lack of facilities is really showing.

I see they are at full strength at the moment. Does anyone ever get a real injury over there? That you can have guys drafted 14 years ago still running around playing their best football is just extraordinary. Their contemporaries like Judd and Ball are done or all but.

Massive development planned, making a bold plan to future proof the club for 100 years. Big money involved.

I reckon it would be worth a look at least, I see more that they have outgrown the facilities. We have a smarter board that will not take it just because it is there.

Once again the MFC get left behind.

Makes me angry. Good supporters put money in yearly but because our players can't be bothered playing at the elite level the club cannot grow.

20 years ago Tiger Ridley wanted to pick their bones...

We share Facilities with 3 clubs...

Whorethorn will have 5 MCG ovals...

I was thinking the tip down the road would be nice and fruity during summer. Of course, when you have seemingly unlimited resources, you can probably afford to put a roof over all five ovals and keep the stench out.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
