Play Pedersen as ruckman next week.

Who cares about the hit outs, all are ruckmen are useless around the game, at least Pedersen can kick and mark.

Nobody seems able to kick any distance in the forward line

Hawks are treating us with absolute contempt - they just push off our tackles without raising a sweat and know they don't have to pressure us, just sit back and wait for us to turn it over then sprint forward into an open 50.

We're behind the ball again, literally but also metaphorically.

I think the modern game has gone past Roos.

Our problem in 2011 was that quick teams would destroy us, no matter how hard we defended.

It's still an issue 4 years later.

Our midfield essentially plays the role entirely of tagger. Our mids aren't damaging enough, so why tag them?

We break down coming out of defense.

We become pedestrian whenever a team gets a run on.

Our leadership is abhorrent.

Our skills are deplorable.

We are still a bad, bad football club.

Good luck, Jackson!

Well. you would have to think that we will be able to run the 2nd half out. The hawks have run hard all game. And we have barely bothered.

They must tire... and then we will strike! Right? Rope-a-dope?

Apart from McDonald we don't have a single winner on the ground

It's sad that after so many years and so many drafts we are still unable to field a team of AFL standard

Dear Melbourne FC Twitter account,

I'm well aware of the scores. I wish you spent less time telling me how bad we are doing and more time telling me what is wrong with Salem #useless

Kindest Regards

I think Garland has played well.

Garlett has played his role.

Havent noticed Jones much. Tyson has had very little impact on the game all year.

Are we wearing concrete boots, they are running so much harder and quicker than us. It's glaryingly obvious.

Too many out there are a liability, and with Salem and Hogan added to the list, injuries are starting to decimate us. We aren't good enough to be missing 6 or 7 best 22 players.

That's not Paul Roos fault.

Roos is doing a good job with this lot, they are just sub par football players.

We've shanked our drafting the past decade, what do you expect Roos to do with this lot?

The only players that resemble AFL players on our list - are those that Roos drafted.

Vandenberg looks a level above most our other players most weeks.

Paul Roos footy is boring as [censored]

How the hell dos he expect to attract members with this [censored]. I wonder if he takes input from Goodwin and McCartneyy or if he thinks hes too perfect with his pathetic 'lets kick no goals every week' game plan

This is duller than last years Grand Final I'm afraid

Love the way Vanders is throwing himself at the contest in our fwd50.

Really working hard.

Has Tyson had a touch?

Yes, that kick on the back flank where brayshaw was open for 10 seconds, ignored him, put himself under pressure, kicked smothered resulting in a hawks goal. Sick of his shithouse disposal week in, week out

Cant wait for the usual suckholes to come on here after the game to tell us how we really aren't that bad, and showed some positive signs,Hawks are a good side, we are young and inexperienced, low on confidence etc etc etc.

MFC are not making me regret buying whiskey instead of a membership.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
