Luke Tapscott delisted

Pick 18 and 4 years development down the drain. Looked good in his highlights but the game is running and endurance centric these days and Tappy isn't built for that. Next

With Clark, Blease, Tapscott, Strauss, Byrnes and Frawley gone and HL, Garlett, Frost, Jetta (upgraded?) and Stretch (committed FS), how are we going to use pocks 40 and 53 that we got for #23 and the Frost trade? I am sure that we will arrange something with Trengrove but what do we do to shed contracted players like Evans to free up opportunities?

I will remember Tappy as a great long kick of the footy and knew how to lay a very good bump. Unfortunately he wasn't showing too much more other than those couple of tricks.

Another top 20 pick shown the door.

Deepressing.

One guy I really wanted to make it. Watched a few Casey games and when he was around the pill he attacked it hard and continually hurt opposition players in the process. My god it was beautiful.

Unfortunately couldn't transfer it to the big stage which is sad as I always had high hopes.

Still, he has had his time and a lot more of chance than others to make it so its time to churn them through

Clisby, Georgiou and Nicholson are gone as well.

Showed promise in his first couple of games and that's about it.

Played 48 games and accumulated 20 or more touches only once. Just couldn't find the footy.

Good luck to Tappy for the future.

Hnmm not much in it, but I would rather Mc Kenzie or Evans to have got the chop before him. At least Tapscott could kick a goal, Jody misses from 12 out! Evans must be on last chance!

Nothing personal against Luke, but thank god for that. 5 years on the list, and he only ever looked like an AFL footballer for five minutes at the start of 2011. Far better to cut our losses now and try someone else.

Now hopefully for Evans to join him so we can use all our draft picks.

Evans is on a contract, that's what he's on.

A real shame it hasnt worked out for Tappy. I'm sure he'll get picked up by someone as a DFA or a rookie at the very least. He's never lacked desire or commitment, it's just never really come together for him.

I'd have no trouble with him being Jetta'd and picked up again by us.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
