My gut feel is that we are offering him mega bucks to come to us....does anybody remember the Warchest?

My gut feel is that we have nothing to lose throwing the big bucks at him.

We can play a part in pushing his price up and we are in a good position to catch the ones that fall out of the bucket.

We do have a strong SA flavour to our club which is even stronger with our appointment of Goodwin.

this may be exactly on the mark I reckon.

Haven't spoke to pat for a while, however last night I was lucky enough to run into some other mutual friends. Namely Bernie Vince. It's not a dead deal yet. We have offered him a deal to set him up for life and he is mulling over it. Dont expect any news for a week.

Girlfriend saw him Sat night at HH in Geelong too, she only told me after we left otherwise I wouldve asked too haha

No chance guys. Adelaide said on trade radio they will back there club in to keep danger and the talk of danger being traded was just stupid. He is a contracted player and Adelaide can just match any offer as he is a restricted free agent next year. Time to move on guys and start talking Sloan or tex. Lol

"Home House": Darren Lyons' unimaginatively-named drug-fuelled menace of a nightclub in Geelong.

Does that mean they wont let you in there Machsy?

Surprised you don't have a share in it Biff. Or perhaps were the guy doing the recent firebombing? Saw the footage. Looks like you.

Of course Adelaide are not going to trade Danger.

But if Danger says he wants out, they have no choice. Sad, but that's how the AFL works now. Players have all the power.

I suggest that this is MFC accountants, singing Danger lullabies while covering him with a blanket of cash

I never associate with papparazzi Moon.

Most of my business dealing are done from the Gatwick.

And there is no need to firebomb these days moon.

Just send in BBO with nothing but his ball gag on and the room will clear like the running of the bulls.

While there is life there is hope! Either that or pull out a nice bottle of red!

If we offer him 850k per year for the next Seven years, and the chance to be coached by Roos as well as Goodwin who is well respected in Adelaide circles! as well as all the good vibes from a guy like Vince who has made the move, and loves it in Melbourne, it could be very tempting.....also no Sloane to take Brownlow votes off him, so a chance to win one, and be the " Super star" player of the oldest club in the land.

850k is probably not enough to get him to come here.

I'd donate another 250k to the cause if it got him over the line.

On a completely unrelated note, are there any armed robbery enthusiasts on here looking to join a crew?

Roos not a fan of Free Agency, 'but it is what it is'.

But our recruiting team showed they knew how to deal with this/play the new game last year, now have pick three and Stretch in the bag for unders.

Looking forward to what unfolds now.

AFC telling the media that danger is untouchable doesn't mean squat.

Deny everything until the deals done.

He may not go anywhere, but considering he can leave on his own accord in a season, he's very gettable.
Just needs the right coaxing and a better deal than anyone else can offer.

And by going hard at Danger, worst case, we may help squeeze out a Sloane or tex, offer them all $1m each I say, no way we don't land 1 of them IMO!! ;-p

For mine, In an ideal world we get him next year.

Everyone saying this is the only year we can do it as we can offer best trade to Adelaide and a big pay day for him. But this year or next Danger has to WANT to come. I think theres a much better chance of that if we use the picks and trade really wisely and finish middle of the ladder with a bullet in 2015. Then its cash, Goodwin AND possible success.

I agree with some other posters here that say we need to build a team with those picks this year not chase a superstar.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round.
