If ya not picked, tuff luck, I didn't even give myself a game....

Sorry but I'm at a point were I can only laugh at our lot, Im way past all the crap my beloved Dee's have dished up SINCE '64', an interstate member I remain an will continue ta b until "WHATEVER"..........

It'd be even better if the Melbourne players took over Demonland and published their thoughts on these players. Who would be Pederson's favourite whipping boy? And who would Jack Watts criticise for not having enough mongrel? And I'd fully expect Lynden Dunn to bemoan the fact, over and over repetitively and ad nauseum that Olisik is not in the team.

Have a look at Roos' presser today. He explained his spray to Terlich but spoke very highly of his performances as a whole so far. He almost certainly won't be dropped, in fact he seems to have a fan in Roos.

He also mentioned Bail and M Jones as "cusp" players who showed a bit on Sunday.

Make of that what you will, but you wouldn't think they will be out this week.

Roos also draws a big distinction between those that don't do the non-negotiables and those that make mistakes. Mistakes are OK (up to a point I guess), but the former won't get a game.

'Landers might need to look at changes in that light.

In Dawes, Gawn, Garland, Trengove.

Out Fitzpatrick,byrnes,kent, bail

Deezee surely you jest Dawes and Gawn have not played so much as a practise match for six weeks, Garland has not been in serious match play since the new year and Trengove did little on sunday to suggest to me it should come straight back in.

Sounds like Dawes is a decent chance, no idea on Garland or Gawn, and Trenners needs to be dominating at casey before i'd consider him, let him find his spark again

Were desperate though.

A week at Casey might mean these guys get back into the seniors in reasonable condition.

Gawn and Dawes have fairy floss legs that need to be eased into things slowly.

WE want all three for the last 15 games not in too early and out again at half time.

unfortunately dawes + garland are not likely to play.

mckenzie tags murphy.

tom mac or frawley runs with Waite - we shut him out we can just about shut down the fwd line.

Waite is a loping fwd, tommy mac can out run him.

put dunne, howe and fitz fwd.

jkh as a sub, still adjusting to work load.

as much as i don't like it, byrnes is prob the only legitimate small fwd we can play for the whole game - can't believe i want him to come to the club, useless.

bring in blease for some pace.

leave trenners out for another week.

bail stays in, he's got great running ability

Basically with those little notes, theres two areas that we can really expose them on if we hit our straps.

We have quite a number of players that can run, carlton are quite slow, we can out run them. Nicholson is another who could assist in this, despite a poor disposal.

The other area we can expose them in is hard contact.

Spencer has his flaws right now, but he can rough up their ruckmen, he's aggressive, and he can tackle as well.

If we run hard, hit hard and play disposal footy, we should get plenty of opportunities to enter the forward line.

I mentioned it in another thread, theres no reason why vince, cross, jones and tyson can't match carltons key four mids.

I agree but having said that can't justify leaving him out if it means were bringing in McKenzie.

On a side note, Gerard Healey on 3aw tonight basically revealed that Byrnes wanted to retire last summer but we talked him out of it.

He should be dropped this week and spend the remainder of the year at Casey.

We tried to talk Kosi into coming across and playing a year as well instead of retiring. This is fact.

I saw Big Maxy doing 20m sprints today. He looked a long way off playing in my opinion.

Injury update on the AFL website says that Garland is avaliable. Personally I'd love to see him back in the team, I'm sure he would increase the morale of the playing group. However, a week or two in the VFL wouldn't hurt and would help him reach a good match fitness for wither round 5 or 6. Same might go for Dawes but considering our lack of decent talls, he should be an immediate in this weekend. Mckenzie and Blease should also be considered. Trengove can have another week in the VFL to get find some form and to enjoy a couple wins.

In Dawes, Blease, Mckenzie

Out: Fitzy, Byrnes, maybe Bail

Also, hopefully JKH has a full run this weekend and isn't stuck in the vest.

Worth throwing Garland at FF, given he lacks a bit of conditioning?

I'm sure the last memory I have of us winning is him playing out of the square.

We can't afford to ease these mature talls in. We desperately need a win!

Kent and Pedo won't be dropped.

Byrne, yes.

If that's the case then surely he would be put onto Rowe.

Would you then leave Frawley in the forwards?

I think Kent and Clisby are quite similar but Kent's tackle count was low last week. Get 10 tackles at Casey this week and put your hand back up for Gold Coast.

Clisby must come in. One of our biggest problems has been bringing the ball safely out of defence and he does it well.

Kent will not be dropped, as many people have suggested. He has pace, pressures opposition backs, knows where the goals are and is an absolute mongrel. Why drop him after one game??

Kent has the X factor and he's quick.

Clisby comes in for Bail.

Heard that too. Then they had a good chuckle at the fact that Byrnes and Pedo were commanding $$ way in excess of anything they'd get elsewhere, if indeed other clubs would have them..

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
