GAME DAY - ROUND THREE

Recommended Posts

So you've got Terlich, Bail, Evans, M Jones and Grimes, most of whom play off half back. None of them can kick it and every one of them is an atrocious decision maker. You cannot win games with one player of that sort in your team, let alone FIVE of them.

Oh and Kent has to learn to tackle. Absolutely as soft as butter.

EDIT. Terlich, Bail, Evans, M Jones and Grimes wouldn't get a game for any other AFL team. One of them is our captain.

Actually, Roos stated he is happy with the list.

He can't take that back now. It is his job to motivate the team. Emotion is a key ingredient.

Rubbish. The list is dreadful.

Motivation does not equate to skill and talent.

You're dreaming if you think Roos is 'happy' with the list.

Fmd.

They scored five goals from our kick outs, nothing has changed at all in this club.

I am totally empty. I'll go to the Carlton Melbourne game next week. More because I feel I have to then want to.

Spot on.

I feel nothing. I'm going next week out of some sick sense of obligation, but I'm just [censored] over it. I'm over this pathetic excuse of a club. Can't let a bunch of players ruin every weekend. Life is too short to care about Melbourne so deeply!

When Evans dropped that mark it was game over and I reckon the players knew it. I'm gutted we couldn't run it out and win, I reckon if we'd got our noses in front some doubts would've crept in and could've got the job done.

We were smashed in at the stoppages by Mumford, and just couldn't get any run going at any point of the game.

Endeavour was much better but that first quarter (much like the saints) was when we played our best but couldn't get goals for effort.

29 scoring shots to 12 is a 15 goal victory by any reasonable conditions. We HAVE not improved, we are NOT more competitive. And we will NOT win a game this year. We WILL finish with a percentage worse than last year. These last two factors were the improvement measures Roos deemed that we could overcome. I honestly believed we couldn't be worse than last year. We are.

Agreed, that dropped mark was just through a lack of concentration and laziness. Edited by Clint Bizkit

I don't want to hate on Grimes but he really needs something to happen.
In the past he could get the pill but occasionally butchered it. Now, he doesn't even get the pill.
If Trenners is relieved of the captaincy because of poor form. should Grimes continue like this he may need to lose the title as well.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
