He is honest and no BS.

The starting 22 will be fit and the best available.

No positions will be given on past history.

He always talks down 1st year players too, which i like, so there are no unrealistic expectations.

He had the Norm Smith Picture in the corner of the room. Not hung on the wall.

I wonder if there is any significance to that.

I am really glad that we didn't find a 'successor' just yet.

Having Roosy as the main man running the show for 2014 will benefit us a lot more.

I liked the bit (paraphrasing): " they are good athletes, when they're running, their biggest deficiency is their game style running that we have to get up to speed".

Implies a fit team that didn't know how to play, which about equals what I have seen game day.

Leaving that space free to hang up his photo as the latest premiership coach of the MFC.

Notably absent is the "Keep Calm and Carry On" sign in the background. Neeldy obviously took that with him.

Seems strangely amusing in retrospect. I guess they had run out of "It is what it is", "Didn't see that coming" and "All aboard the reality bus".

No, that was probably torn up in a fit of rage

Not so sure, hardtack. Rage involves emotion; not sure the previous incumbent actually had much of that.

I love Paul Roos.

Still can't believe he's our coach.

I also love whisky.

Laphroaig.

I agree. I still get happy chills when I see Roos in the red and blue.

Laphroaig is a bloody great whisky.

Exactly what we are seeing at training, getting them used to the game style running

Won't be at the last training session unfortunately, have done a fetlock....trying too hard when you are old....

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
