The guy [censored] canned Neale Daniher and josh Fraser publicly and now Nathan Buckley. What does that say to you? He is nothing but a spoilt little brat that didn't get things his way.

This has come back to bite him in the ass and so it should! Collingwood made the right decision and good on them. His body was absolute shot and he struggled at VFL level even getting a bath of Wayde Skipper in one game.

Best thing for him is to quietly disappear from the footballing world and focus on job searching.

Got no respect for him and never will after the way he carried on against ND and Josh Fraser.

And btw we aren't exactly out of the rabble ourselves. Collingwood aren't in any.

Spot on.

Jolly and Caroline Wilson are a perfect match at the age.

Sounds like he is a sensitive guy.

Jolly has gone where it best suits him over his career and hasn't cared about who he left behind so he can't complain when someone shows him the same loyalty; can he.

Don't know if that's entirely fair.

I thought we traded him to Sydney and he ended up leaving the Swans for Collingwood to come back to Victoria because his wife had severe postnatal depression.

Don't like either Jolly or Buckley but I thought Bucks response today was measured and cutting and should put Jolly back in his place, if that's possible. A few clubs might think twice about hiring him as a ruck coach with a big mouth like that. Not good form, regardless of press spin.

Ive never been a fan of Buckley but I like how this season he has just stripped back his list and got kids in. He has got rid of obvious troublemakers such as Shaw and his mate Didak and let Jolly go. Maybe Jolly is right that other players feel the same as him but he won a premiership with this club and I even wouldnt call Bucks a coward.

Yeah, obviously a dic k head - left Melbourne to play in two premiership sides.

He achieved alot, but he is still a total nob.

Isn't that what Neeld did at Melbourne, got rid of the bad seeds and replaced them with kids, too bad he couldn't coach; I wonder if Bucks can?

Difference is Neeld brought in guys like Pedersen, Rodan, Byrnes, Dawes, Gillies.. To prove what, I don't know..

Neeld did bring in Viney, Toumpas and Hogan but Collingwood have done well with Grundy, Kennedy, Sharenberg and Taylor Adams

Said before they have a very good list potential to dominate for the next 5 years. But whether Bucks can deliver is the question..

Shaw and Didak won Malthouse a premiership. Maybe Buckley needs to man manage better

Agree 'dazzle', they have recruited very well over the last couple of years and are well set up going forward. The cards have fallen their way with Grundy and Sharenberg, players they should never have had access to. The question now is can Buckley coach? I wouldn't be so quick to write him off as others on here have.

Neale Daniher would never have had the guts to do what Buckley did. Jolly was no.1 ruck at Collingwood by reputation only. Brodie Grundy was an emerging gun. Had a dip....was mobile....2nd, 3rd, 4th efforts then more! Buckley rewarded Grundy. I reckon Buckley did the right thing. Granted though, Buckley's people skills and EQ aren't obviously flash.

The Jolly article about Fraser was always going to have consequences. Ol' valium Fraser had deep roots at Collingwood. When he slagged off at Fraser, which I think was actually fair in context, he peed off many ex-teammates and officials etc. The writing was on the wall then in some way. Daisy Thomas came out publicly immediately and bagged Jolly in the press.

To sum it all up, any club could have taken Jolly cheaply. FCS he would have been better than Jamar and Neville Jetta combined in 2014. But we have Jamar, who is virtually clogging the list....so our hands are tied. The fact that no club took Jolly vindicates Buckley again... in my opinion.

Nathan Buckley, as assistant coach when Jolly arrived, pulled big Darren aside straight away. Buckley wanted to know about the Paul Roos aura. What made him a good coach. What did he do in certain circumstances.. How did he react to things. Buckley organised a coffee with him, and all he drilled Jolly on was Paul Roos.

Bux has been under Tony Shaw, Malthouse etc.... but he has one idol in the coaching caper. The sundance kid.

He was left naked as a newborn child atop Mt Sparta and survived.

He was then deemed fit and had his Demonisation ceremony in the presence of David Schwartz and Rodney Grinter.

He was locked in a cage and fed raw meat .

He was trained to destroy Ollie Vines at will as a cub.

He had his face prepared by Wojincki as a Jnr

He joined the fray and tasted only defeat.

He became the saviour...

The anointed one ....

The Avenger of all Demons.

Ahem...Sorry ,got carried away there a tad..

Could have been three but he let us down in 2000.

He talks about the Bloods culture but how many of the Swans slag their teammates off in the media? The closest I have seen is when Goodesy said he would keep a close eye on Buddy come pre-season and that wasn't even really a pot shot!
The bloke seems pretty bitter. The writing was on the wall when Grundy took his spot.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
